  • What is an appropriate dating period before engagement or marriage?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for two years. We have talked about marriage and we get along great! I have finally found a man who is honest, doesn't play me and treats me great! The thing is we are not even engaged yet and I don't want to wait too much longer before we get married because seems that all the people I know that get married after 3 yrs or longer end up getting divorced. Is this just a coincidence or is there something to this? Should I really even worry about getting married if things are perfect the way they are now?

  • What would you do with a teenager that is disrespectful and controlling?

My stepson is rebellious, rude, arrogant, disrespectful and doesn't appreciate anyone oranything. We cleaned a room so he could have his own space. He puts on clothes, takes them off and throws them in his closet. When he doesn't have any he will leave me a not telling me to put his clothes in washer/dryer because I didn't do them. Well, I quit doing them period. I used to wash them, dry them, fold them up or hang them up, but now I just throw them in a pile on his bed. I am tired of the way he acts. I am not going to let a teenager control me anymore. This causes conflicts with me and my mate. I am at my wits end. Help me Please!!!

  • What would you do if you were in this position?

I am not a child. I have children and to think that I am paying out of my own pocket for someone to teach me and they are never in class, never grades our work.I am going to college for the first time. My children are grown. I actually am very easy to get along with and have plenty of friends to prove it. I have helped my classmates with their homework, taken them their homework and copied things off for them to study, because our teacher is never in class or grades our work. You may think we are mindless or selfish, but isn't she being a little selfish also? We are not going for free! She is getting paid to do a job.I have never talked bad about a teacher in my life until now. As for learning.... I am learning, but only because I am teaching myself! You can't ask a question if no one is there to ask. Everybody in class calls me for answers, well who do we ask if I dont k

  • Why does everyone have to be sooo rude?

Yes, I am working for grades, but, I am not alittle kid. You know, the teachers are supposed to teach. She does nothing. I am also in two honor societies. I do give back to people, but only until she takes that away from me. Should I just sit back and let her do what she wants? Another question for you people to think about before spitting off brainless thoughts....or maybe, something for you to think about for future reference. Have you had or job where you work really hard and the guy next to you does nothing but he gets the raise or the reward? Well, if that happens don't get upset or whine about it...hey, after all you helped someone out and it's just a job! I get along with ALL of my teachers. Nobody likes her, because she is not a teacher!
