I have an employee who is a Jehovah Witness. I'm aware that he doesn't celebrate birthdays and holidays.

Recently, he was admitted to the hospital and will likely require surgery.

My question is this: Would it be acceptible to give him a Get Well card (signed by the rest of my staff) when I go to visit him?

Although it's a small gesture, I feel it's the right thing to do. But I want to make sure I'm being respectful and that I don't unintentionally offend him if his faith finds Get Well cards inappropriate.

Hey all. If I were to download music from the iTunes music store on my iPhone, will they transfer to my iTunes library on my MacBook the next time I sync? I imagine they would since you can move iTunes from the Mac to the phone...but I wanted to double check before I started downloading.

I'm looking to make backup copies of my DVD's. I will be using my Macbook. I know that there's a few different apps out there (Mac the Ripper, Toast, etc.), but I've never used any of them before.

Could someone please let me know the one they most recommend and/or have had the best experiences with, or the most popular one among users?

I'd prefer a free program, but am willing to pay if I have to :)

I want to start taking a protein supplement to go along with my workout/diet plan. Currently, I'm 5'10, 195 lbs. My goal is to lose 15-20 lbs, and deepen muscle definition. I have no interest in taking 'weight loss drugs' or anything like that.

There are so many supplements out there for proteins, does anyone have any advice on how to choose which one is the best for achieving my goals?

I'm not a huge fan of powder mixes or shakes, as I prefer something in the form of a more 'liquid' drink. I am willing to use the powders or shakes if they are best suited, however.

I love to bake, and lately one of my passions is to make cheesecakes for family and friends...but there's one problem. Everytime I remove the cheesecake from the oven, it displays 'cracks' and 'openings' on the top. I'm thinking it's from the cheesecake either expanding from baking, or settleing after cooling.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this problem? Please and thank you!

I have an iPod 'click wheel' model...I got it a few years back (black/white screen. no video or pic capability). A couple of months ago, I noticed that my iPod would play any song that I put on it from a CD that i previously owned...but would automatically skip over any downloaded songs that I purchased on iTunes.

Usually, linking my iPod to my computer (to update) would correct the problem for a week or two, then I would have to do it again.

Recently, updating it in this manner doesn't work at all.

Just wondering what kind of documents are permitted to be notarized. In Ohio.

For example, if an inventor were to come up with an idea and is in the process of Patent application, would he/she be allowed to get the original pages notarized to document a date of conception?

Thanks for reading. I'm a smoker who has been planning to quit (quit date: 6/19/07). Determined to make this my final (and successful!) quit, I've been preparing for a few weeks. I've bought and read books on quitting, joined a few different online smoking cecession communities, and have joined the Tobacco Quitline.

Doing research, I found that there are Nicotine Anonymous meetings (not a whole lot in my area, but 2 or 3 that I would be able to attend on a weekly basis).

Has anyone ever been a member (either current or former) of NA? I'm just looking to see if the program is helpful, and worth checking out. I have a lot a friends in Alcoholics Anonymous, and it has worked wonders for their addictions (as well as life as a whole).

Just looking for some feedback on the NA program, if there is any. Thanks!

I'm looking to buy the hardware/software needed to record tv shows to my pc, then burn them onto dvd (think TiVo, but on my computer). What type of software would I need (and what brand is recommended), as well as hardware, to accomplish this?
