First time ball python owner needing help.?
2 weeks ago I bought a juvenile ball python. The guy at the shop set me up with a 10 gallon tank, substrate, an under tank heat pad, a water bowl, some frozen mice and a somewhat large hide. She has eaten two mice since I got her.
We just returned from a 3 day Trip and she is looking rough. She is wrinkly and flaky and skinny. It appeared as though she was beginning to shed the day we left as we could see some old skin beginning to come off and she was actively rubbing her nose on surfaces.
The hide is set up directly on top of where the heat pad is located. I recently added another hide to the cool side, but she has not used it yet.
I am concerned with keeping her healthy. I just ordered a 75 watt ir heat lamp, a spray bottle for misting, and a hygrometer/thermometer. I’m not sure if it is warm enough the sticky thermometer I got at the pet store stays between 70-80 but is high up on the glass near the wire mesh.
What should I do in the next couple of days and beyond to ensure she bounces back and stays in good condition? Like I said, I’m a newbie here and appreciate any advice no matter how basic.

I have a 4 year old boxer. He is healthy, active and happy most of the time. However, this morning he is having a lot of pain when he looks to the left. He can hold his head to the right or straight, but any movement to the left produces a yelp. It hurts him when he tries to lay down or stand up. What are some possible problems as well as solutions (besides the obvious take him to the vet)?
4 AnswersDogs8 years agoWhat juicer should I purchase?
I am interested in juicing and am willing to spend up to $400 for a good juicer. From the research I have done I am leaning towards masticating juicers.
In addition to juicing I would love a unit that can make:
-baby food
-nut butters
Ideally, I want a high yield, little foam, and no heat. I don't mind a little clean up, as long as it doesn't require an incredible amount of time.
I am open to other types beyond masticating if you have suggestions.
What brands and models would you suggest?
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness8 years agoHow can I maintain a healthy lawn with 2 dogs?
I have a small fenced in backyard and two hyper boxers. I just finished the fence over Thanksgiving. The yard is basically a giant hill leading down to the house. It is roughly 200 square feet. While I still have some grass right now (I seeded it last fall and early this summer), it is quickly turning to mud and dirt from the dogs running so hard. Also, I am having a lot of clover overtaking the grass.
I have seen other dog owners' lawns, some are perfect and some are giant mud pits. How do I avoid the latter while allowing the dogs to go outside from time to time to run and play?
I live in Tennessee, and see a fair amount of rain. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
6 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoBoxer becoming more aggressive?
My boxer is 4 years old and has been the most delightful, happy boy ever. He loves people and other dogs and has always been very submissive. He was properly socialized as a puppy and has even been through training with a well qualified trainer. However, around the age of three he started to become slightly aggressive toward strangers and other dogs.
It started on the leash, even though I have walked him almost every day since he was a puppy with no problems. If we saw a dog he would start to tense up and then totally lose it when the dog got close(barking growling, lunging). However, if the other dog doesn't freak out and they sniff each other then he relaxes instantly. But now he has started doing it to random people on walks or in the neighborhood. Whenever he sees a neighbor out of the window he goes insane barking and growling, and if anyone rings the doorbell he charges the door. I used to love taking him to restaurants that allow dogs, but now I can not due to the fear that another dog will show up.
He has never been hit and has always been trained using positive reinforcement. He is a member of the family and loves everyone he knows. I am just not sure what has brought about this change. A few possible factors, he spends time at a good quality doggy day care once a week, but he does terrific there. Never has any problems with other dogs or people, and they say he is the best boxer they have ever had.
I have had lots of different roommates move in and out of the house that we live in over the past 2-3 years, but he has loved all of them and gets depressed when they move out. Some of the roommates have had dogs, some he would play with, others he would ignore.
I have tried obedience training, but it hasn't worked. He generally is on his best behavior and listens very well unless someone is at the door or he sees another dog on a walk or through any kind of barrier like a fence. If he is able to approach a dog with nothing holding him back, he is fine, but as soon as he is on a leash or held back by a fence, he loses control. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
4 AnswersDogs9 years agoBeginner Motorcycle for long distances.?
I have a weekly commute of about 200 miles (400 miles a week) and am looking for a good bike that is forgiving, but can handle the distance. Possibly something I can add saddle bags to. The trip is about half and half interstate and curvy country road. I need a bike that is Reliable and can provide a comfortable ride.
I am a complete beginner with very little experience. Does any one have any good suggestions for me?
5 AnswersMotorcycles9 years agoUpper Abdomen pain caused by lying on right side.?
For several years I have found that often when I lay down at night that lying on my right side causes an uncomfortable, indigestion feeling in my upper abdomen. However, when I roll over to my left side the pain is alleviated. What could this be?

3 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police10 years agoWhere to study quantum mechanics?
I am wanting to go to school in order to study quantum mechanics, but am unsure of the path to get there. As far as I know there are no undergraduate programs for this. Would the best course of action be studying physics as an undergrad and then finding a graduate level quantum physics course? Are there any other options?
I already have a BBA, but would really love to pursue quantum mechanics instead.

Does anyone know much about reading lines on one's hands? I know the palm of my hand really well, and just recently a pentagram about the size of a quarter has appeared on my right palm, the top point touching the bottom of my ring finger.
2 AnswersHoroscopes1 decade agoWhat kind of bug bit me?
I was working on the farm when I felt a painful bite on the backside of my knee inside my pants. I reached down to feel for it, but found nothing. The bite itches really bad and has been looking worse over the past 2 days. Just this morning, I pulled a long white hair out of it with some stuff attached to it. The hole where the bite was is bigger than a mosquito bite or a tick. And the 1 inch area around it has turned purple.
Any idea what bit me?
2 AnswersOther - Science1 decade agoSex sells: A conspiracy to ruin society.?
What does everyone think about the idea that there is a conspiracy to ruin society and moral goodness. It is done through Sex. The new Brittany Spears song: "If you seek Amy" sounds like she is saying "F.U.C.K. Me." Sex is everywhere worldwide and is used to get our attention to sell us useless things.
Just look at our kids today. 13 year olds are having sex, drinking beer, and doing drugs, and are bragging about it.
What is everyone's feelings on this sort of thing.
Hail Eris.
