  • Mean Girls 2 Question.?

What is that thing Mandi is using on her nails once the boys start the fight in the cafeteria?

I have a picture of the actual item here: http://www.beautyangleshop.com/Shop/Beauty/Nail/Ma...

It's the thing with the purple handle on the bottom left. Can you tell me what it's called? I want to buy one. Please don't say anything to try to be funny or rude.

A link to where I can buy it would be nice.

  • I keep thinking about bad things?

I keep having bad thoughts or scary thoughts when I'm reading or watching something. Like, an image in my mind will pop up of something bad happening to the character. Like they might get a needle stuck in their eye or something. Or bugs crawling all over them. I don't know why. I'm NOT a violent person lol and I don't watch or read scary things. And I try soo hard to concentrate so I can actually enjoy my book but it's not working and when I use google, they say to read a book to help clear your mind, but my problem IS with reading a book.

I try to watch TV or something to help not think about it, and it works, but then when it's over, I start thinking about it again.

Also, you know the feeling you get when you're calm, but you know that there was something that you were/ should be worrying about? Sometimes that happens to me and I remember what I've been trying to think about when reading. I don't know what to do :(

  • Any books like Defiance?

Books like Defiance by CJ Redwine: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11410430-defian...

I like the idea of people on a mission and along the way people are preventing them from completing their quest. Like on the legend of the seeker. Or any good summer reads

  • If you could make up your own god or goddess who would you be?

It can't be anything bad, it has to be something your good at. It can't be love or fire, wind, any elements. It has to be something like maybe music or anything your good at. Maybe drawing. And then give me some reasons why you think you should be that god or goddess. Maybe why you think your good at it and how it will benefit people? I'm just curious.

  • The City of Bones confusion?

I was reading The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare and I absolutely love it, but I have a couple of questions.

    1. What are the forsaken?

    2. What exactly is the clave and the convenant?

    3. What is Luke??

    4. What do umm "the bad people" want with Clary's mom? I think it's something about the Mortal Cup, but why?

    5. Um, who exactly are the "bad people" after Clary's mom, Jocelyn?

    6. Valentine isn't dead like Hodge said? (If it tells me later don't spoil it)

    5. Why did they go to Luke asking for Clary as well? What do they want with her?

    6. What's the brotherhood?

Okay, this question more directed to the people that own the book because I'm on page 133 and I don't want to be spoiled for anything that happens after the page I'm on.

So, if one of my questions is answered soon or later on more clearly, just tell me that instead of spoiling it for me. But try to answer the most you can without spoiling the rest of the book

  • I don't know how to imagine stuff?

I loved reading when I was younger and I still do now, but not anymore as in 1 hour ago. If I'm reading a book, I can't imagine a character on my own. I'll have to look up someone that meets the description that the author writes in order to know what they look like. I have to look at a face. And if I have no way of looking up someone to play a character I'll just choose a random celebrity or someone else that I use as a character in another book. And I hate this. I hate reading now because I just can't do it anymore. It's hard to look up a picture of some random person on google to play a character in a book and keep that image in their head. But mostly, I'll have to choose people in a movie or something so I can hear their voice or how they talk or walk, so I can read my book knowing how they truly are.

For example, I'm reading Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. I see the names of all these characters but I can't visualize my own person to be them. I have to look up a real person or go on YouTube and watch the videos of the "dream cast" that people select for the characters if it were to become a movie. And it's hard because I can't do this every single time a new character pops up or whenever I forget what that person looks like.

For example, If I use for example Taylor Lautner as a character, I'll end having to sit there with a picture of him so I can look back and forth so I don't forget what he looks like or certain facial feautures. I HATE DOING THIS. I just can't do it anymore. I want to sit down and just read without googling up random people to play characters in my mind. And I can't have 20 phones sitting around me so I won't forget each character's face. Please help. I know I sound crazy, but I don't know what to do. I've been recently getting back into reading as I've always had since I'm done with tests, and now I don't even want to read them anymore. Everyone knows I go crazy for books and how much I love them, and now they'll think something's wrong with me since I'm technically ranting about how much I hate books suddenly. Please help me. I can't visualize my own characters, and when I do, I'll have problems with how they'll talk or walk or whatever. Even if I have a book with a characters face on the front, I'll have to keep flipping from the cover to whatever I'm reading so I don't lose the vision of their face in my mind. Pleaseeeeee help. What do I do? Should I just quit reading all together?

  • YA Reccommendations? The Host?

Should I read The Host by Stephenie Meyer? I heard that it's confusing at the beginning and I don't want to waste my money on a book I'll never finish. The size and thickness also scares me. Readers either extremely hate it or absolutely love it, at least that what I observed from reviews.I'm going to the book store this week and I want to have in mind what book I should get. Should I get The Host? Do you recommend anything else?

I'm also debating on whether or not I should get some other books on my wishlist.

Out of the ones on this list which ones should I read first?

    Wishlist:

    *Awaken - Katie Kacvinsky

    *Unravel Me- Tahereh Mafi

*Strands of Bronze and Gold- Jane Nickerson

*I Am Number Four- Pittacus Lore

    *The Host by Stephenie Meyer

    *Beastly- Alex Flinn

*Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone- J.K. Rowling

*The Knife of Never Letting Go- Patrick Ness

    *Wither-Lauren DeStefano

    *Delirium - Lauren Oliver

    *If I Stay-Gayle Foreman

    *Everyday-David Levithan

    *Code Name Verity

    * Daughter of Smoke and Bones

    *The Pledge-Kimberly Derting

    * The Forsaken- Lisa M. Stasse :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

  • Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and?

Okay so it's been a long time since I've read Beautiful Creatures and I never finished it. I eneded on page 305 because I got distracted by other books. I don't want to start over so can you please give me a long summary and overview with the main events and reasons why they were going to that library? I don't remember. And on the previous chapter I was on I think Lena was Yelling at Macon. That was before the chapter when they head to the library to get some book with a moon. Can you tell me all that happened up to page 305? Idc if the parts up to 305 have spoilers because I have already read those pages but don't spoiler anything after page 305. I never made it there yet.

  • I Don't Know What To Do? :(?

Okay, so, I have a lot of books and I really like them to be in a certain format. For example, If two of them are hardcover and one is in paperback, I WANT to buy it in hardcover, but whenever I get some money I like to spend it on something new I haven't read. What would you do? Do you feel the same way? Would you buy them to match the same format? Should I save money? Should I only do it for the books I like the most and will re-read? What would you do? WWYD

  • I'm doing this for all the wrong reasons :(?

I've never thought of this before until someone in a previous question of mine told me. They said I'm not really interested in books but more of the idea of booktubing and just saying I have tons of books... and they're right. I'm addicted to watch BookTubing videos of hauls, tags, bookshelf tours, etc. So, I basically got back into reading so I could be just like them with tons of books and have a bookshelf and do hauls and etc. But I don't think I'm even enjoying the reading. I'm just rushing through to say that I read it, I liked/disliked it, and add it to my shelf. I glad I decided to watch booktubing videos because it got me back into reading and introduced me to newer books, but I also think that if I never would've watched them, I wouldn't be so eager to read books and not care whether or not it was good, just to show it on a bookshelf. It's making me completely miss the meaning of reading in the first place. When I was younger I read what I wanted to read no matter if it was popular or not, no matter who was reading it. I just read it for enjoyment, now I'm the complete opposite? How do I stop? I love that I discovered sooo many good books, but I'm angry that I just want to get them not for enjoyment but for the reputation of having tons of books. I don't know what to do. I ordered lots of "popular books" among the booktubing community that I'm interested in, but I'm not sure if I'm really enjoying the book ya know? I don't know how to get out of it. I;m still in the "getting them, reading, them, and continue my collection" phase. What can I do to make me truly enjoy the books not just to be like booktubers but for myself? And I'm honestly really interested in the books I ordered but I think also for good and bad reasons :(

I have over 200 books in my wishlist and I was so excited that I bought the "popular" books in the book community and I was hoping I could do reviews, tags, bookshelf tours, etc once I build my collection but now I don't feel like doing that anymore because the person that responded to my question was right.

They said: To be honest, you sounded more interested in the idea of books and book tubing and the trappings surrounding them than you were in actually reading. Once the excitement of the original idea had worn off.....you lost interest.

Read books for themselves. Read the ones that you want to read. Do not read books simply because they are "popular" or because someone is prepared to give you a free copy.

Take your books one at a time. There is no point in storing up books that you are never going to read - you are better having 1 or 2 that you want to read than an oppressive heap of books that you feel you ought to read. There is no merit reading large numbers of books simply so that you can say that you read lots of books.

Now take a book you want to read and read it. Read it for yourself and not for any other reason. The love of reading will return although doing other things in life will not hurt.

I totally agree with them, but I don't know how to do this. Please help.

  • Reading Books???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Okay, so lately I have been watching book reviews, book hauls, TBRs, etc. I've been also buyig books like crazy (I ordered only 3 they haven't come yet) and yesterday I bought a book from Walmart while I wait for my books to arrive. I have always loved reading I was just busy with school and everything. And now that I discovered the booktubing community with the tags, tbr's,etc I really wanted to do that and I was interested in the books the booktubers talked about, so I wanted to build my collection as well. I was so excited for my books to come this week and to read the new book I got yesterday, but suddenly all the enthusiasm and excited I had for the past months from watching book videos, suddenly disappeared. I bought all these books (only 4) and have been bugging everyone with my excitment and book craze and now I just don't feel up to reading anymore. I'm also back in school and I don't know if that has anything to do with it ( I don't think so because the day I bought my new book yesterday I stop feeling the urge to read) NOTE: I started back school today.

I have over 200 books in my wishlist and I was so excited that I bought the "popular" books in the book community and I was hoping I could do reviews, tags, bookshelf tours, etc once I build my collection but now I don't feel like doing that anymore. That's probably how stopped reading so much back in the beginning of 2012. Now, I have major tests coming up so I'm gonna be sweating over that and I just.... I DON'T Know! I want to get back the excitement I had for reading books I had just the day before yesterday. I even won many of books on Goodreads, a website I signed up on which a lot of booktubers have. Why do you think I don't feel the urge to read anymore? Will I get it back? Plus, I bugged everyone with all these books I wanted and they got REALLY annoyed. Once I get them and don't want to read them, not only they would be mad but so would I. What do I do?

How do booktubers do this so much and never get tired of it like I have over I couple of months? I was hoping I could buy LOADs of books over the summer. But I made that plan back when I was in the groove of reading. I also have more free time even though I have tests coming up. A couple weeks ago, I would've spent every free moment reading. Now, I just want to sit and do nothing.

  • The Host by Stephenie Meyer?

Okay, so I really want to read the Host by Stephenie Meyer and I will instantly get frustrated and never finish a book if I don't understand something. Okay, so I was wondering what the souls look like before they are put in a body. Is it like a small handsize like ball of light or mist or something. What form? And if they are like this: http://www.robertlanza.com/do-we-have-a-soul-a-sci... how do they communicate with each other? How do they access these humans and take their bodies if they're just a little glob of light? Please make this clear for me because I really want to buy it tomorrow and I don't want to be frustrated and angry and upset. This book has gotten so many good reviews, so I don't want to not read it because of anger and confusion
