For me, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have been great.

Also I've been really impressed with Andre Ayew of Ghana. I've seen him play for the Under 20s, but he's looked great with the senior side.

Clearly Messi has been brilliant this season, but Robben has to be among the top candidates too.

If Robben can help lead both club and country to glory I think he would have to be given the award. Even without a CL triumph, winning the WC might be enough to earn the title.

Barcelona also endured a 6 year trophy drought recently.

Barca won the La Liga title for the 1998-1999 season and then didn't win anything until 2005.

During that six year trophy-less run they were developing their own young talents (aka Xavi, Iniesta, etc.). Now look at them!

Arsenal has been doing the same thing. I'm not saying we'll be winning 6 trophies next season, but i just found it interesting that nobody seems to mention this little bit of information.

Stekelenburg is locked in to start in goal with a back line of van der Wiel, Heitinga, Mathijsen, and Gio van Bronckhorst. But what about the midfield and attack? As of late Holland has been using a 4-2-3-1 formation. They have a ton of options in the midfield and attack, but I'd like to see something like this

Honestly, only Xavi and Fabregas are as good as Sneijder when it comes to passing the ball. It could have easily been 3-0 to Inter if Milito and Pandev would've finished.
