I have been drinking pretty excessively these past few weeks and have noticed that i have several red spots on each of my tonsils. I don’t know if drinking has anything to do with it but it seems like it. Also, there’s no pain. What could this be? 

I am a 19 year old girl, I am nearly 5 6", and I weigh 135 lbs.

So, I ve had a cold for the past couple days and I ve been very congested but I don t have a sore throat or a cough. This morning, I woke up and once I stood up I had a piercing pain in my upper chest. It felt like someone had punched me in the chest with brass knuckles or something. It has gotten a little better, but I still am experiencing some pain if I bend over or move a certain way. Why is this happening?

So last night at work, I banged my ankle on the corner of this metal thing and it hurt but not like excruciatingly so I just brushed it off. It left a really small bruise and I didnt think anything of it. I went to work this morning, and as my shift went on, it started getting noticeably swollen and the bruise got bigger. I worked 6 hours and I just got home and took off my shoes and socks and it is about 3 times bigger than my other ankle and the bruise is about the size of a golf ball and is noticeably darker. Will it go away? Why did it swell so big if all I did was hit it on something?

So, I have a job that involves a lot of work with my hands (cooking, dishwashing, cleaning, sometimes lifting heavy things, etc). For the past couple weeks I have been having pain in my left wrist. If I have like two days in a row off from work, it doesn t really hurt too much, only when I bend it a lot. But tonight, I worked the closing shift which involves a lot of work, and now my wrist and the bottom part of my hand hurts a lot, even if I barely move it. What s going on?

For years now, I have been waking up with a very fast heartbeat. Whether it be a nap or a deep sleep, I always wake up like this. Sometimes it s more noticeable than others and can also be accompanied by heavy breathing. I m an 18 year old girl if that has any relevance.

For the past 2-3 months or so, there have been a few changes in my behavior that have worried me as well as my family. Idk if it's depression or something else. Here are my "symptoms" for lack of a better word.

- I sleep way too much and I'm always tired

- Loss of appetite (I've lost nearly 10 pounds in a month and idk why but I just never feel like eating)

- Lack of motivation

- Not wanting to get up in the morning

- Big increase in alcohol consumption

If this doesn't sound like depression, what is it? Is it just something temporary that everyone goes through?

So today I had a lot to do and I never got the chance to eat anything. It's only 4 pm here so its not like i didn't eat ALL day. I don't have anorexia or bulimia or anything like that either. It was really strange I just came home and I immediately felt sick to my stomach and threw up. I know that sometimes I've been so hungry that I felt nauseous but I never actually vomited from it. Is there any reason behind this?

I am a 17-year-old girl and for the past six months or so, I ve been having these random episodes which involve heavy and rapid heart beats. These heart beats are so fast and heavy that I can feel it throughout the whole upper half of my body. I also start breathing heavily. These episodes last around 5-15 minutes and it usually happens when I m trying to sleep or if I m laying down. It s not anxiety or anything because it happens at times where I don t have anything to be anxious about and I also take anti-anxiety medication every day. What is wrong with me?

I'm going to college in a week to study psychology and I need to find an affordable but good quality laptop. I need it to be fast and also have a screen that is at least 15". I can't spend more than $500-$550 because I still need to buy my books and other school supplies as well. What is the best brand and model I can get? Please post a link if you can. Thank you.

So, I m starting college in a week and I need a laptop. I want to get a refurbished Mac laptop but I m not sure how many GB I should have on it. Any ideas? And also if you could post any links for refurbished Macs that would be awesome. Thanks!

So, obviously the cause of death can possibly be determined if there was a fractured skull or blunt force trauma but lets say the person died from pneumonia. How could pneumonia be determined as the cause of death if the whole body has fully decomposed? What other clues on a skeleton could show a sign of something like that?

Sorry for the super morbid question but when I was reading about the musician Chris Cornell s death, it said he was found with an exercise band around his neck and blood in his mouth. Why would blood come out of the mouth as a result of hanging?

I don't have full-blown acne or anything but I've been breaking out on my back, there are probably about 10 pimples on my upper back. What are the best products (preferably drug store) to use for this problem?

I ve never had braces before and I started wearing Essix retainers about 4 months ago. i went in for an orthodontist appointment yesterday and he tightened my lower ones and they didn t hurt. However, I took my retainers out after sleeping with them on, and when I took the bottom one out, the pain was so bad my eyes started watering a bit. Should I go make another appointment or should I just wait it out?
