15 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoShould we be asked to help pay for our own baby shower?
My mother-in-law volunteered to give us a baby shower as soon as she found out we are expecting, which was in November. Now she is asking my husband for money to help pay for it. Should we have to give her money to help fund the shower? I would rather spend the money on the baby and forget the shower. By the way, my husband is the only one working due to me being layed off and this is our first child.

3 AnswersUnited States1 decade agoI made a purchase online with my debit card. The company asked me to fax a copy of my picture ID to verify ?
I am the card holder. I never had a company ask me to fax over my ID. Does that sound fishy, sort of like a scam?
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoMy sister wants to come stay with us for the summer and we will have a 4 week old newborn...?
She thinks that my husband and I want to be bothered entertaining her and her two sons. I told her that we will have a newborn and we need to get acquainted with our new family, being this is our first child. She insists that my husband can entertain her and her kids while I stay home with the baby. I hate to be mean to her, but should I tell her to go stay elsewhere?
16 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoMy boyfriend got caught in an undercover sting for selling alcohol to minors in Georgia.?
He went to court and pled no lo contendre. He was sentenced to JAG probation for a year and a $250.00 fine. Somehow his record got sealed and it is showing that he went under First Offender Treatment, but he did not. He need his FOA treatment for something else. What can he do about proving he didn't ask for first offender treatment the first time.

My cousin is on probation for aggravated assault. She threatened her husband with a hammer when she caught him cheating. She took a plea deal under the first offender treatment. Is that considered a conviction as for as a background check is concerned?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics1 decade agoMy refund has been delayed by the IRS for further processing! Does anyone know what the problem could be?
I was first told my expected refund date was changed to Feb 29th, then I was told It was delayed and to use reference 1221 when calling, next I was told that it would be deposited on
Feb 8th. Which did not happen! I was then given ref 8802 when calling and now I must use reference 1121 when calling. I have talked to several irs reps and none of the answers are the same.
