SF Nightlife: Hotels in SF after a night out? $100 or less.?
So, we're planning on going out to SF for a night. The usual drinking and eating and dancing. Usually, we drive home which isn't far. However, it'd be nice if ALL my friends could relax and not have to worry about driving back a bunch of drunkards. We are planning on going around North Beach, bar hopping. Maybe Geary/Post if we're up to it. So my questions is: which hotel would you recommend? I'm looking for something cheap. Hostel style is fine. We just need a place to crash for the night. Oh! We need parking spot too. I've checked yelp and google reviews, but I thought I'de give you guys a try.
Also, I would really appreciate if you could recommend any bars in the before mentioned places that is in Frisco without cover charge. I repeat: NO cover charge on a Saturday night.
THANK YOU!!
1 AnswerSan Francisco8 years agoHow to mount a corner shelving piece ?
SO I have these two triangular pieces that fit perfectly into the corner of my room. They were "packaging material" that came with a study table that I had to put together. Call it recycle or reuse, but I like the idea of a corner piece above the table, same color and type so why not right?
the problem is, all i have is a piece of wood cut into a triangle. no screw holes, nothing. And I have no idea on how to go about it. The catch is, i'm trying NOT to use a L-bracket. that would be the easiest solution, and i'm down to do it, but I would like to see if anyone has a creative idea.
The pieces fit snugly into the corner so that won;t be an issue. I just don't know if there is another way besides using an L bracket. I'm pretty good at being handy, but it's not something I do all the time, so I don't know the different details that would come into play with such things.
Any suggestions is welcome. Thank you in advance!!
4 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling9 years agoHotels in Malacca. Don't know which one to consider.?
I'm planning a trip to Malacca. All Adults. We want a relaxing, clean hotel. Don't mind paying around RM200 to RM300. No need for freebies and internet. Just an intimate location. Close as possible to town center since we're gonna be without a car.
Here's a list of what I looked at so far, but with the mixed reviews from trip advisor its hard to decide.
Jonker Boutique
Mahkota Melaka
Holiday Inn
Aldy Hotel
Any experience you guys may have with the hotels in the area would be helpful. doesn't have to be those on the list only. Usually have relatives there, but this time we're out of luck! LOL..
Pricing isnt really the issue at the moment. I just need to know if you've had a good hotel stay in malacca and if you could recommend any around the town/beach area.
Thank you!
6 AnswersMalaysia10 years agoMini Vacation. Genting Highlands or Malacca?
I want to take a mini 2 night vacation with family. Cheap is good, but entertaining as well.
Can't decide between Malacca or Genting Highlands.
Melaka (as we know it) is cool, historic, foodie paradise and what not and I haven't been there in eons, but there doesn't seem to be much to do other than join a tour group and visit old churches. I don't mind historical tours, but I'm visiting Malaysia after 3 years for only 2 weeks, so I kinda want to make it worth while.
Genting is cool as well, arcade, theme park, but I can see it getting pricy and heavy on the wallet. hotel rooms are a concern as well, heard first world is cheaper but I dont remember the locations and distance from other attractions.
Any form of help will be appreciated. Thank you.
3 AnswersMalaysia10 years agoUsing American PSP in Malaysia?
I Live in California. I wish to buy my sister (who lives in Malaysia) a PSP 3000. I'm no tech-wizz and neither is she. I'm aware than she may need to get a charger there. I'm also going to get her the memory card and other accessories.
But what about games and such? Will she have any trouble playing the games she buys in Malaysia? How about music downloads and movies? WIll she be able to download movies from there with an american bought PSP.
Also, If you guys can provide me any details I may be missing, that would be great. Its her 21st and she just got an awesome job, so I wanna make this work. Any help in the matter will be most helpful, thank you!!!
4 AnswersMalaysia1 decade agoDebt Crisis.. Please Help.?
I used to help my father (who lives overseas) with a small business while I was studying. Unfortunately his company has closed due to the whole recession. Sometime during this mayhem, I made an order for my father using my personal details such as email and address. The company gave a NET 30 term but my father was unable to pay. Now.. after a year, the company has continued to call me and send me emails/invoices. I do not work for him any more (he doesn't even have the company anymore) and am happily employed elsewhere. How do I deal with this? Would it get them off my back if I mentioned that I am no longer employed by the previous company? I'm already having a hard time with my current bills and I really dont want to deal with this anymore
