2 AnswersScanners9 years agoDo you have to pay taxes on packaging?
I have an online store, and we ship for free. But we buy boxes and peanuts for packaging. The people who we buy peanuts from doesn't charge us tax, but the box guys do. The peanut guy says as long as we have the resale, we don't pay taxes, the box guy says unless you use the item to manufacturer, or you resell the packaging materials, you cannot claim to be tax free.
Which is right? PS: This is California
1 AnswerUnited States10 years agoDo you need a VISA for visiting Mexico?
Ok, true or false.
I have a friend who is visiting the U.S. She has a Chinese Passport. She is visiting the U.S. on B-1 VISA.
Now, I wanna take her with our church group to a 7-day retreat by CRUISE to MEXICO. I tried calling the Mexican consulate for her, but the consulate told me "as long as she has a U.S. visa, she doesn't need a visa to go to Mexico by CRUISE".
K, I'm only asking because I can't find this information online anywhere, and sometimes the consulates don't quite give the correct information.
Thanks for everyone's help!!!

5 AnswersUnited States10 years agoWho pays for Job Training?
Let's say I interviewed 5 students, and want to put them on a job training program for 3 days. Then based on the performance, I'm going to select 2/5 to hire.
Does the employer pay the candidates for the job training? Or is the employer allowed to charge for the job training? Or can the employer offer the job training for free?
Just want to know what the employer can do, and can not do.
PS: I'm in California

1 AnswerCorporations1 decade agoHow does Product Patent work?
Okay, let's use a watch for example.
A manufacturer in China invented a new look for a "watch". 5 distributors in the United States liked it and decides to go ahead and carry it. Let's say "distributor A" was the first guy to carry the new watch, then came the other 4 distributors. The first distributor goes and patents the product.
- The manufacturer did not exclusive the product to distributor A in the U.S.
- All five distributors buy from the same manufacturer
QUESTION: So does Distributor A get the exclusive right to carry this product in the U.S.? Again, the product is invented, created and made in China.
