Apparently 20,000 people dead or missing was no big deal, but delay the release of a few new lenses and we now have to "Cancel Christmas". Am I over reacting in thinking this is pretty insensitive? Am I missing the humor?

Where can I buy a mask for my full frame camera?
For my birthday this year my dad bought me a Canon 17D or something like that. It was alright, but all the pictures kept coming out like crap. So I did some research and found that it's a "crop sensor" camera. So I told my dad to buy me a Canon 1DS mark 5 or whatever it is. He did that for Christmas but now my Canon 25-75 lens is too wide. I was just reading that the crop cameras make the lens more telephoto and I was just wunderin if you could buy a mask for the sensor to make it more telephoto. Nothing over $400 please, my dad says we aren't made of money ya know.
25 points for best answer as long as you give me the answer before 9am today.

2 AnswersPhotography1 decade agoWhat makes a lens a portrait lens?
I've heard reference that the EF 50 f/1.8 isn't a portrait lens, but the 50 f/1.4 is. Both wide apertures, both 50mm. What would YOU consider is the difference?
7 AnswersPhotography1 decade agoWhat size reflector should I get?
I've been asked to shoot a wedding tomorrow, it's my first, and the preacher said you can't use flash. So I figured I'd open the front door and reflect some light in there. What size reflector should I buy and where can I buy it? If its not local I need overnight shipping of course.
1 AnswerPhotography1 decade agoPictures are too noisy?
I took some pics and they had all this fuzz all over them when printed. The guy at the drugstore said they had noise. Should I wear ear muffs when shooting? I've found some ear muffs and my dad said they were for shooting. Does that work with digital? These things are pretty old, like early 1990's.

Can you rekumend a gud camera phone to start out with?
Any cost, the skies the limit. Oh yeah, it would be nice to be able to use the camera without the phone part being on. Distracts the kitty katz when I get lik 20 txts in a minute.

Is it electronic brainwashing?
Why is it that crappy pics out of these cameras make the taker think they (the photographer) are so great that they can go into business with it?
Am I missing something?

I tried using a warming filter on some Ilford HP5 and it didn't seem to do much. How is it that people get that Sepia tone to their photographs. I'm trying to get it right in camera.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not exactly satisfied with Vista (havent tried W7 yet) but I was certainly disappointed in Ubuntu 9.4 compared to the hype of it's proponents.
