Black marks inside metal bottle?
I bought this bottle from Starbucks a few years ago:
http://www.purpleruby.com/web/product/big/purpleru...
I'm not sure what material it is but lately I've noticed small black spots inside the bottle, only in a small patch near the bottom. I've tried all that I could with scrubbing and washing (including a soak in baking soda + water) but the spots aren't going away. I was wondering if anyone knew what the marks were or what I could do to remove them/sanitize my bottle.
Thanks!
1 AnswerCleaning & Laundry9 years agoWhat to do with old barbies?
My mom dropped off a box of my old barbies from the early 1990's. I have full sets of their stuff, such as teacher barbie and vet barbie. I was wondering if they would be worth anything to sell or if I should let them sit for another few years (maybe they'll be worth more later)? A couple of them have the old genitalia where there was nothing (I'm not a pervert)... in the more recent barbies, they have colourful plastic granny panties permanently etched on them. I also have Barbie's siblings if that helps...
Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation9 years agoCan I shrink a knit sweater in the wash?
I have a knit sweater-dress that's a bit too big. I was wondering if I could shrink it by putting it in a zippered protective laundry bag and running it through cold wash before letting it tumble in the dryer. Also, do I HAVE to use woolite or can I just stick with my usual detergent? Thanks.
3 AnswersCleaning & Laundry10 years agoHamster has red urine?
My hamster is a little under 2 months and he's been a heavy sleeper in the 2 weeks that I've had him. Today I noticed that he came out of his hidey hole to pee quite often and when I placed some tissue in his pee spot, I noticed that his urine was red/bloody.
I tried googling it but it either says that he's got a bladder/kidney infection or he's just eating something that's giving him his red colouring. I can bring him back to petsmart but I wanted some advice from other hamster owners.
Thanks
3 AnswersRodents10 years agoOverly Sleepy Hamster?
I have an 8 week old short haired hamster who sleeps all the time. He'll curl up in his house and will sleep for over 12 hours, only coming out around 9pm and going back to bed in a few hours. He'll wake up and crawl out to drink water. When I fill up his food bowl, he'll stuff his cheeks and take the food back into his house and spit it out to eat later.
Is this normal? Or is he only sleeping so much because he's young? I can put my finger in his home and pet him and he'll flop over to his side or back and continue sleeping while I pet his belly.
5 AnswersRodents10 years agoMy gerbil will only eat bread?
To make a long story short, I had three gerbils but two died and were eaten. There is one left and she is the pickiest eater of them all. The other two would eat anything, but this remaining gerbil will not eat the pellet mix from the pet stores, nor will she eat carrots or sunflower seeds or any other fruit/treat I give her. I tried bread and that is the only thing that she will eat. She does drink water daily and is lively and active. What else can I do to make sure she's getting enough nutrients? I still provide her with the pellet mix and fruit in hopes she'll give them a chance but she only goes back to the bread.
2 AnswersRodents10 years agoShould I report my friend?
Last night, while I was a passenger in my friend's car, I witnessed her (reverse) slamming into another car and fleeing the scene. She does not feel remorse for possibly damaging the other car because she has hit a biker before (who did not press charges). She has also hit a pedestrian before and went to court for it because she also fled the scene.
I feel bad for the owner of the car but at the same time, if I report her, she'll know it's me because I am the only witness. Is there a way to do it anonymously but she won't know it's me?
6 AnswersSafety10 years agoMissing gerbil, please help?
One of our three gerbils is missing from the habitrail. There is no way they could have escaped because we are really careful when we open the lid and there are no holes they could have escaped from. There is no trace of a body or remains. We're completely baffled. There are no noises at night and no droppings. If you have any idea on what could've happened to her, please advise!
4 AnswersRodents10 years agoQuestion about gerbils, please help!?
I am a first time gerbil owner. I got three gerbils (from the same litter, same gender) from a petstore. It has been a few weeks and two of them look healthy and are quite frisky. The third seems to have not plumped up as much as the other and her fur looks a bit matted. I don't know if gerbils shed or not, but I have volcanic dust in there for them to clean themselves. I'm not sure what to do about the third one. Should I separate her or should I leave them all together because they're bonded? Everytime I refill their food dish, she pounces on the food and tries to stuff herself, but the others smell food on her and try to snatch it away.
Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

2 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoHow can I save this jello?
I usually make good jello but I got lazy. I used two cups of cold water instead of one hot + one cold. Then I thought the powder was melted enough so I stuck it in the fridge.
24 hours later, I pull it out and it's completely liquid. I stir it around and realize there's half melted powder on the bottom on the cup. I heat it up for a minute in the microwave and stir it around and put it back in the fridge and it's still liquidy.
Can it be saved? Should I add another pack of gelatin in it or stick it in the freezer?
Thanks in advance.

I saw this picture and really wanted the ring or a similar style. If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know!
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoCan my hamster use sawdust as bedding?
My rabbits use horse stall wood pellets which work great for odor + liquid absorption. The pellets expand and break off into sawdust and I was wondering if my hamsters could use sawdust for bedding (since the pellets are too big). If I get a bag of sawdust, she'd be able to burrow and stuff in it right? Would it cause respiratory problems?
Thanks!
4 AnswersRodents1 decade agoCan I start micronor before I get my period?
I have a presciption for the mini pill (Micronor) and was wondering if I could take them now instead of waiting for my period. My period's always irregular and I'm getting really annoyed at waiting for it to arrive. I know I'm not pregnant and I'd rather just start regulating my hormones ASAP.
Also, if I start Micronor without waiting for a period, how long will I need to use a second form of protection for?
Thanks!
1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoCough that's been over 2 months?
I was in Vegas during the first week of July and developed flu-like symptoms (chills, fever, muscle ache, plus tons of thick mucus) during my second night there. When I got back home, the symptoms went away on their own but I started getting this cough. At first I thought it'd go away on its own but it got worse. One night in August, I felt like I needed to put effort into breathing and the wheezing was quite severe. There wasn't any phlegm but I still went to the doctors and he prescribed me an antibiotic (Biaxin) for what he thought was a bacterial bronchitis infection. I finished my dose but went back because my cough wasn't getting better. I was prescribed this turbuhaler with a red cap but still my symptoms aren't gone. I went back to the doctors and they told me that the cough was probably viral and it will go away on its own. I stopped using the turbuhaler but my cough is still there. I'll dry cough once or twice during the day but at night when I lie down to sleep, I start getting a little wheezing and I've started to cough up phlegm.
The only other symptom I have is that when I blow my nose (especially in the mornings when I wake up), my mucus is clear (probably allergies since I feel like I have a stuffy sinus) but there is grey stuff in the mucus. It's like... very fine grey particles that clump up in clear mucus (sorry for any graphic detail).
I have no idea what's going on, and I don't think the doctors do either. Should I start using the turbuhaler again? Will this cough last months? years? I thought it could be allergies since I am around known allergens (I live in a basement but the upstairs people own free roaming cats - I am allergic, and it's an older house so I could be breathing in some stuff since there's tons of insects and dust around... possibly mould)
Anyhoo, I know this is a long question but hopefully someone can shed some light as to what is happening in my lungs. Oh and I've never smoked.
2 AnswersRespiratory Diseases1 decade agoMass Effect 2 bug w/ Kaidan + Ashley?
I am playing a female Shepard and followed through with the Kaidan romance option (Ashley also died) in Mass Effect 1... Now in Mass Effect 2, after being 1) disappointed that Kaidan couldn't be back on my team and 2) excited to meet Kaidan again on Horizon... THE CUT SCENE SHOWED ASHLEY INSTEAD!! I don't mind having to reload after falling off an imaginary cliff or whatnot... but dammit I want my Kaidan!
Is there anyway I can fix this so it's actually Kaidan, and not the annoying Ashley? The Illusive Man DID mention Kaiden Alenko was stationed at Horizon... yet Ashley appeared...
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoRed lipstick question!?
I'm 21 and with the red lipstick craze right now, I am considering trying red on my lips. I'm a bit worried that I'd look too old in it or that it would "scream" out or something. Should I stick with my pinks and nudes? Maybe try just a red lipliner? What is your take on it?
Thanks!
8 AnswersMakeup1 decade agoPeriod over a month late with no preg symptoms?
My periods are usually irregular and 7 days. My last period ended May 12 and it was only 4 days long. I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms except for tender nipples. I've taken 2 home pregnancy tests (one at 21 days late and one on Monday) and they've both turned up negative. I'm really worried since my fiance and I used the pull out method a couple times. I don't want to see a doctor yet since I'm terrified of needles and don't want to do a blood test. Could I be pregnant or have I just skipped a period? I've never missed one before and I haven't had any lifestyle changes.
Any feedback is appreciated!
1 AnswerWomen's Health1 decade agoPeriod is 25 days late with no symptoms?
I'm usually irregular but no more than a week. For my period to be 25 days late is quite worrisome. I've never missed a period (just had it late a week or so). It's really making me worried. I did a urine test (with those home kits) when it was 21 days late and it was clearly negative. I've looked at pregnancy symptoms and I have nothing (no morning sickness, no tender boobs, no cravings, nothing). I'm still really worried and I'm trying to avoid a blood test since I'm not great with needles. If anyone could shed some light on this, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks.
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoCarry-on limits for US domestic flights?
I'll be flying from Bellingham to Vegas for a weekend and have no idea what I can bring on a domestic flight (I'm from Canada) as I'll only have one carry-on and no cargo. Are the liquid limits still 100mL? I'm more concerned about my makeup. What are the limits for powders? I don't want my makeup confiscated!! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
