Can I hold my University responsible if I get hurt on unplowed sidewalks?

I'm a resident of my college's dormatory housing and the attached picture is what the sidewalk looked like from the dorms all the way to campus, very sh**ily plowed and that's not the worst part.....I'M ON CRUTCHES!!! I had surgery on my knee back in November and I still have to use my crutches because I'm not fully healed and with the sidewalks in this condition my feet and crutches are slipping out from under me constantly, I want to know if I get injured because of the sidewalk conditions if I can hold my school responsible?

(I'm in Indiana if that makes a difference)

  • Shoveling snow while on crutches?

I had surgery on my knee in November (the 5th to be exact) and the sidewalks in front of my dorm building have been plowed but still have a ton of snow on them making it hard for me and even those not on crutches to walk, I was wondering if I could shovel the rest myself while I'm still on crutches.

  • Transman bridesmaid.....HELP!!!?

About this time last year my cousin announced to me she was engaged and asked if I'd be one of her bridesmaids and she's my cousin of course I said yes. Well at the end of June last year I turned 18 and since then I've been questioning if I was a transman (which I'm mostly certain I am) and I really want to start the transition as soon as possible starting by cutting my hair, issue is the wedding they don't think will be until summer of 2016 and even then there's no official date yet, I'd be okay with holding off my transition for her but I really hate how long my hair is and it only barely touches my shoulders!! If I cut my hair boy style now would it be long enough for bridesmaid styling two summers from now? Also is this something I should bring up to my cousin (I'm not out to anyone yet) and how would I go about doing so?

  • Asthma and smoking?

I've had asthma my whole life, I'm now 18 and under a lot of stress and thought of taking up smoking. For a few months I've been using an e-cigarette (not every day, more like a few puffs every few weeks) but want to try the normal cigarettes. I'm limiting myself to one pack (if I make it that far in) how much damage will be done to my lungs by smoking one pack?

  • My (past) teacher wants to have lunch with me.........?

I didn't think she'd be the type of teacher to have lunch with past students (the idea for lunch was originally hers) also she recently sent me a Christmas card and it had her address on it, again, didn't think she'd be the type of teacher to reveal this personal information to past students.......would it be rude of me to ask how many others she does this with?

  • POLL: should I shave my leg (note the singularity)?

At the beginning of the month I had surgery on my knee and was in a full leg cast until earlier this week and I am currently in a full leg ranger brace. I am still unable to bend my knee and I think I'm still not allowed to shave that leg but I was wondering if I should shave the other leg, incase people want to see my two knees as comparison to each other (both knees have same issue to where I need surgical correction) or if I should leave it unshaved as one shaved leg, one unshaved leg would look strange

  • Will I need surgery?

I went to the doctor's yesterday and they found that, behind my left knee, my tendon pops and turns whenever I bend my knee. I go see a specialist in 2 weeks. I'm no doctor but the only option I see to fix it is surgery. If I'm wrong and I have other options please let me know.

PS I've already tried physical therapy and that doesn't help

  • How do I ask her to lunch?

My past teacher sent me a message on facebook congradulating me on starting college and she said we'd have to "plan a day to have lunch soon into the semester" so I guess I first have to ask her if she really meant it but how do I go about doing so?

  • Help me come up with a new (fandom) surname?

My name is Erin and I don't like my last name, it's uncommon and no one (and I literally mean NO ONE) can pronounce it correctly. I wanted to change my last name to something fandom inspired. My fandoms are Doctor Who, Sherlock, Supernatural, and Harry Potter. Can you help me come up with something?

  • Is it rude of me to ask a celebrity a favor? (favor I'd ask in details)?

I'm meeting John Barrowman next month and I was going to ask him if he can send a tweet to Ellen Degeneres using #colleenonellen in honor of a classmate of mine who passed away in October (this video explains it all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJrb7p116cU ) and I feel bad asking him but (I feel) Ellen is ignoring everything we've sent her so I've been trying to have celebrities tweet her but they're ignoring me too (I'm not really shocked or upset)...is it rude of me to ask him to do this?

  • Have you gotten a free tattoo from a tattoo apprentice?

I found this girl on Instagram who (surprisingly) is in my area...she posted a lot of her work on her Instagram page and it looks REALLY good but I'm just worried about it getting infected or something like that (that saying good tattoos aren't cheap, cheap tattoos aren't good) because the tattoo I'd have her do is a "in memory of" tattoo AND in a visible spot so I really don't want it to be screwed up...would you trust her? She's doing tattoos for free to get experience on skin
