i got this truck 1993 GMC sierra 1500 with the 4.3 engine and 215k miles. i got it on a vehicle trade and i checked the transmission fluid level later on in life and it had little more than 2 quarts excess oil in it or 3/5 of a gallon of extra transmission oil in it. when i pumped out the excess oil, the transmission now shifts hard and wont go into reverse hardly and i get terrible get up and go. before this downgrade in performance, the truck ran perfectly fine it seemed. shifted good. get up and go was good. now with normal transmission fluid levels is just horrible.

what was this excess oil compensating for? bad torque converter? or what?

i am trying to find some boots. i was really wanting some carhartt boots and i got a size 11W. when i am at work with them, they feel too long/big. when i am just doing everyday stuff, they feel alright. i tried on a size 10W and they felt better in the length area but they were too tight in the width.

my foot felt squeezed not overall but just in one particular spot.

what should i do? would they break in or should i try a 10.5W or just try another brand overall

this was a fun myth when i was a kid but reality is, blood is always red. blood is always oxygenated. blood carrys air(oxygen) throughout your body. it starts off dark red when it has no oxygen and turns bright red when it gets oxygen.

this happened about ten years ago. a radio tower was installed in the woods about 1/4 mile from the nearest house. we decided to go see why they put this tower up in the woods and why away from where people lived. we go to it and just hung out investigating it. it was fenced off but only just around the tower. you could hop the fence and take 10 steps and you are touching it so we were really close to it. we didnt enter the fence. just glanced at it and talked about what it was for. within 5 minutes, i said i wanted to leave because i felt pressure on my temples. my friend replied, "weird, i thought it was just me." we left and never went back.

why does spectrum charge more for a disconnection fee than installation fee?

in the winter, i can't use my car heater until the engine temperature hits 150 because if i turn on my heater, the engine temperature will stop going up. so if i turn on my heat at 150 degrees, the engine temperature will stay at 150 degrees. if i idle, the temperature drops literally 25 degrees. so if i am idling with a temperature of 170 and i turn my heat on, the engine temperature will drop to 150. if i drive around, it will increase though. i pulled my thermostat and checked that it is functioning properly and it opens at 200F and it is not stuck open or closed.

what else can i check? my car never over heat, so i do not suspect the water pump. operating temperature is 195F and it gets there no problem if i leave my heat off.

mine would be that my co-worker saw this huge bug and told the manager to check this bug out. i was literally standing right by him when he told her to come over and check it out. i took a glance and so did the manager. after a good looking.. or two. she finally said "alright lets get back to work." later that night she called me into the office with a full write-up referral set up for me to sign about how i would rather be looking at bugs instead of doing my job.

so i get 2 day shipping all the time and their fulfillment center is just a state over. it only takes 5 hours for a package to get from there to here in my town. amazon knows this and holds the package back and ships it the next day so it wouldnt be "one day shipping" and ship it about 5 hours before the postal service scans in the trucks load on. why do they hold back a package like this?

what i am asking in simple form is that i order on amazon. i have 2 day shipping. they ship it on day number 2 at 2am. my post office gets it in 5 hours. why dont they just ship it the same day the order is placed

i have changed the spark plugs, wires, and coil pack. i do have a distributor that has not be replaced yet but i am also getting a code for a bad knock sensor. which should i replace first?

i have a friend that gets shitty if you input your honest opinion without completely disagreeing with him. he seriously has anger issues. he has gone through multiple phones and even broken his steering wheel in his truck because his phone wasnt working properly i guess.

my question is, he has a coolant leak in his truck and he knows this but isnt giving it any attention. so his truck is on the line of blowing up. i want to ask him if he is going to get it fixed but fear that he will retaliate and defend himself in a way that makes it seem like i am questioning his wits and im done dealing with this kind of behavior of his but with it being his truck on the verge of blowing up.. what would you do? ask him about it and then feel like you shouldnt have even asked about it or just ignore it and see what happens in the future

On initial cold start. When I put my truck into gear before it has a chance to warm up at all, it won't go at first but slowly starts to move and slowly gets faster to normal speed without me pressing on the gas. After this slight warm up. It has no more issues. What could be the problem? My guess is the torque converter which I'm going to replace this summer any way. 1993 GMC 1500 sierra 211k miles
