Is Earth still Earth if all life on Earth dies?
If Earth gets sterilized of all life today, will it still be Earth tomorrow?
Or is that like saying a dead human and living human is the same thing at a certain angle?
2 AnswersEarth Day2 years agoThings in the real world usually have a time and a place...does Math?
So 2+2=4
But where is the number 2? what time is it in the place that the 2 is located?
I think that at one resolution, math has no time or location, but at another resolution it does.

1 AnswerLaw & Ethics2 years agoApathetic community college teachers?
I noticed teachers genuinely dont care if their students pass or fail.
Im paying them to learn and I get apathy.
At a new job I get payed to learn -_-...
What do you think, should teachers be more emotionally invested in their job?
10 AnswersHigher Education (University +)2 years agoAtheists: Is it immoral to get rid of criminal records after they served their time?
The logic being:
Their debt is paid in full and they can return to society.
The alternative is social ostracisationwhich I suspect leads to drug use and other extreme behavior/re-offending.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoChristians: Does forgive mean to not hold against them?
So if the government was Christian tomorrow, would we no longer have criminal records after they served their time?
Or would we still hold grudges and remind them daily of their mistakes?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoOpioids for veterans?
Suicide for veterans is very high.
Does it make sense to legalize opiods as a last resort for these types of people?
Or are they better off dead?
2 AnswersGovernment2 years agoShould teachers give advice?
Community college?
How about trade school?
Should the teachers pay attention to the emotions?
From my experience, they dont care. It makes sense from one angle but doesnt from other angles...
3 AnswersTeaching2 years agoWhy is it wrong to forgive?
On the state level...
So if a criminal gets caught, serves his time, then has a felony.
Its wrong to forget his wrong doing.
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 years agoHow can an issue be put on a voting ballot in America?
One way is the initiative process, you can gather the necessary signatures (usually in the 100s of thousands, for a big state, like California).
Can you think of another way?
1 AnswerElections2 years agoHow can I change a State law in America?
I want to legalize drugs.
How can I vote to do that?
7 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 years agoAmericans: Should we get rid of criminal records?
I think it would be a good idea because they pay for it with jailtime.
By keeping criminal records, thhey have a hard time of getting job after and are stuck in a life of crime.
9 AnswersLaw & Ethics2 years agoCan you think of a way to test if morals are a law of physics?
spiritually speaking:
Can you think of a though experiment that we can perform as a society to get many people to test the theory that a specific moral is actually a law of physics?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoDo morals exist outside of a person?
spiritually speaking:
If I do something bad and genuinely forget about it
vs
I never did anything bad but genuinely believe I did do it.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoWhat is better, temporary ethics or end goal ethics?
Religiously speaking
Is it better to do what is right in the moment
Or do something that isnt right in the moment but is right in the end?
Example: having to decide between:
a) kill someone and forget about it (clean conscience)
b) never kill someone but believe you did for the rest of your life (believe to be a murderer in your own eyes.
In this scenario your current memory will be erased after the fact.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoWould you rather kill someone else literally or yourself emotionally?
Religiously speaking which is better?
Example:
a) Kill a person and immediately forget about it. (clean conscience)
b) Not kill a person but believe you did for the rest of your life? (you are a murdered in your own eyes)
8 AnswersMental Health2 years agoWhy do poll & survey questions not appear on the front page?
4 AnswersPolls & Surveys2 years agoIs it rude to tell someone to do something?
I noticed many people in position of power refuse to give commands, they ask a question instead.
Ex:
Why dont you do this for me
Do you want to do this?
