1. This is in continuation of Question 1 in Homework Assignment 7.

The workflow of microarray data analysis usually follows the steps of

(1) reading in data (often from binary files), (2) normalization, (3)

differential expression detection and (4) generate report. We will

focus on 3 and 4 in this question. We will continue to use the

following packages from Bioconductor: oligo (for reading in data and

normalization), limma and siggenes (for differential expression),

pd.hg.u133.plus.2 (for annotation and generating reports). Refer to

Homework 7 to download the microarray data provided through gene

expression omnibus under accession number GSE18088.

Questions:

(1)How many patients developed relapse events? (5 points)

(2)In order to identify the differential expression genes between

patients with relapse events and patients without relapse, what is

the design matrix for this comparison? (20 points)

(3)Use limma to detect differentially expressed genes between

patients with relapse events and patients without relapse. (35

points)

(4)How many genes are differentially expressed under FDR < 0.05 in

U133Plus2 platform? How many genes with p value < 0.05? What

are the top 30 differentially genes among them? [Hint: use

hgu133plus2SYMBOL to convert Affymetrix probe id to Entrez

gene symbols] (40 points)

I have been natural for about two and a half years and I have decided to do wash and go s more often. I used to where my hair in buns, twist outs, etc until now. I have been trying to get my hair really defined all though out instead of just at the ends. I can t seem to get my roots defined unless I use a ton of product on it, which I hate because it weighs my hair down. So I was wondering what products or techniques I could use to help my roots get defined.

I am 18 years old but will be 19 in about a week and my mom is still really strict. Growing up she had many rules which I followed without any problems. I was never a problem child unlike my older sisters. I always had good grades and never disrespected her. I was never able to hang out with friends had to stay home and babysit my nieces and nephew after school and on the weekends. My mom did not allow me to date until I was 17 which is understandable. Since I am of age and in college I thought that I would be able to have more independence but nothing has changed. I still live in her house and I understand that I must follow her rules but I wondering if this is what other parents do. I have 9:00 curfew and I must ask for permission to go anywhere . I once went outside to my car and came back in the house only for her to get mad at me for not telling her I was going to my car. Im starting to feel as if I don't have a life because of her constant hovering and keeping me under her wing. I would like to talk to her about how I feel but I am not sure to talk to her since I feel like she will have a fit .

My boyfriend is 19 years old and is only 5'8. His mom is 5'8 and his dad is 6'4, so I was wondering if there is a chance he would still grow.Thanks

I am in the 11th grade and I am just exploring different classes. I am currently in college prep classes and I have a Gpa of 3.9. I am also in the beta club and fbla. I also used to be in ffa. For some weird reason I sometimes know or hear things before they happen. For example I was just in the living room watching t.v then I hear what sounds like my sisters car pulling up. So for a few seconds I watch t.v then get up to open the door for my sister. When I go outside there is no car there. Then I'm like I know I heard a car and then two seconds later my sister pulls up into our gate. When I told her what happened she says that she just pulled up and that she didn't know what I was talking about.

I met this guy in the 8th grade and he was in my class. So he decided to beg the teacher to let him sit by me and then we started talking and became friends and it was obvious that we liked each other because he told people i was his gf even though i wasnt . The next year after summer break he got a gf but would always look at me and stare at me . We ride the same bus and when another guy sits on my seat he keeps staring at me and when i walk with other guys he stares at me. The other day he sat on my seat and was flirting with me even though he has a gf. Does he still like me?

I basically had to do a presentation on parli pro, and there are 7 group members including me well to day we had to do the presentation and my group members new there part when i got up there i had part of the presentation in the wrong place and my teacher stoped me and said i needed to switch it to another place so a fellow group leader offered to help so she basically said it was right and that i needed to switch one part and all of a sudden she said ill rewrite it and i said ok then later on i heared her talk about me and say she had to do it over for me . So now i already feel stupid that i messed up the presentation but, she made me feel worse so now im upset. Im not making any excuses and take the blame for the mistake but i really had no clue it was wrong because all that week id been asking group members questions and not the teacher because he always said let them help you

Ive always been kind of a shy person, and when i get in front of the class i look so nervous and i studder and in this class you do public speaking a lot even though its not a public speaking class.i just wish i could be like other people and be more outspoken.

I am african american with thin dark lips. I was born with dark lips but i dont know why. Every one in my family has some pink in their lips except me. Most african americans have pink in their lips and i get embarrassed when someone asks me if i smoke.

i just got a kindle fire for christmas, and i"ve been trying to figure out how to connect to wifi.i just cant seem to figure out the wifi password. every time i put in a password it says its connected but it would have an x by the wifi signal . i went to the kindle support on how to connect to wifi but it was no help . all it said was if there is an x by the signal then you are in a wifi hotspotbut really im at home. i also tried calling my router service provider but the password they gave me was also wrong. if anyone can help i would gladly appreciate it thanks.

yesterday my eye was hurting but there was no bump or swelling . The nxt morning when i woke up for school it was swollen and had a bump. Im going to the doctors tomorrow but i wanted to ease the swelling and ive tried tea bags which didnt rlly work. I also tried the warm compress remedy which actually worked and eased the pain and brought th swelling down but as soon as i stoped it swole up again and started hurting again i dont no what to do smh

i know that i like math and reading and im pretty good at the two, but i dont know what careers i should choose. i tried searching for some careers but i couldnt find any that interested me.

i was trying to download some things for my mp3 and all of a sudden this warning pops up talking about ram memory failure high risks or something like that n these virus protection things started poping up also so i just tried to turn my computer off and turnit back on and when i turned it back on the home screen was black but i could still see the icons and start place. i have know idea how to fix this any ideas. thx
