Removing questions?

Does anyone else get as frustrated as I do when you spend 15 minutes answering a question and then click, only to discover that the asker has removed the question? I really wish Yahoo! would come up with a way of warning us earlier. Perhaps when the question gets removed, you could no longer type into the answer box?

Yes, Yahoo! can remove questions, but I think it actually tells you something different, if I recall correctly. This specifically said that the Asker had removed the question.

Hi, I am sorry we have to go thru this from time to time.

And I hasten to answer in case this is also off. I agree that this can be frustrating and I haven't come to the point where I don't mind. You see where I live the net comes and goes with the wind...

I am sure it is possible for Yahoo to work it out in such a way that one can know the status of a question in real time. If it has been taken off we must be disabled even as its being taken off - somehow like how messenger informs you when the other person is typing. If we insist I am quite sure they would find a way to do this. I am with you.

I havent had that happen, but I have gone to email to see someone has asked a Q, go to Answers to answer, and it isnt there! it is annoying! And I have answered a few only to hit post and they've been deleted by YA.

Guess there isnt anything we can do about this. Sometimes I post a quick response, and then edit to elaborate. But if you spend a lot of time formulating an answer only to have the Q disappear, yeah that is frustrating!

I do understand it is frustrating when you take the time to give a good answer then find out the person deleted the question. I think they either do not like the answers or they did not get a lot of answers so they deleted the question. My opinion!!

sometimes its not the asker who puls the question they Y/A also pulls questions
