She was a term baby not late. It does seem to come off when we wash her but just wanna be sure there is nothing else we need to do in the immediate future and if it will just go away with bathing

It's completely normal. Our daughter had the same thing and it peeled and shed off on it's own. Once it did, she was left with beautifully soft skin. You don't have to do anything, really, just wait it out.

It sounds like cradle cap.You can massage with oil and then take a soft baby brush and go over it in a circular motion. After that put some vasoline on it and try to keep it dry. Try not to pick or prod at it to much other than massaging it a few times a day. Also, try not to let any hats rub against it. Dont use to many different products, that can be more irritating. Avoid lotions and creams with fragrance. Keep it simple and if it spreads or gets worse so the md.

add a tiny bit a baby oil into her warm bath water. then after the bath, when shes being dried off, add a tiny mixture of baby lotion and baby oil together and rub on her body. after rubbing on her hands, put the baby mittens on she they stay moist and so she doesn't rub it all over her face. and with her feet do the same thing but put socks on.
after a few weeks she should be perfect.
if ur baby has cradle cap, u can use a tiny bit of baby oil with a baby brush and rub the oil into her scap very softly.
my daughter was a winter baby. she had very very dry chapped skin. i did this to her and she healed right up in a few weeks

my son was the same way, we lathered them with A&D diaper rash cream (you can use it for so much more too) and it went away. Just put that on and put on some mitts and socks so it doesnt get all over the place. Because babies are used to being in water, it is common for them to have dry flakey skin during the first few months

Same thing happened with my son. His feet and hands were so dry. It will go away soon. I had this intense dry baby lotion I cannot remember the name but I used it a couple times a day. Try putting lotion on the hands and feet then right away put socks and hand covers on. that will work.
