Choc Half-Heart Cookie Recipe Help?

The cookies were heart shaped and then after they were baked, half the heart was dipped in chocolate. The recipe did call for a little bit of anise, but every recipe I look up has too much anise it.

My former-sister-in-law had the recipe back in the early 90s and I can't find my copy nor can I ask her. She said she got it out of a magazine and I thought she said it was Bon Appetit....

Any help appreciated.

Did you check epicurious.com for their recipe? They have a lot of the recipes from both Gourmet and Bon Appetit magazines. Otherwise, just reduce the amount of anise and make a recipe that appeals to you. Don't forget that anise oil is much stronger than anise extract.
