You won't really know until you've been there yourself. It is what you put into it. Single or married.

I'm currently 22 years old and my husband and I got married 6 days after my 18th birthday. I can tell you that we've definitely had our fair share of problems so far, and we will probably have more in the future but I am happy in my marriage and I know that my husband is also. We're going on 5 years in August, we have 2 kids and he has a third from another relationship, and hopefully we'll be buying our first house within the year. Some advice I can give you at being happy is that communication is VERY IMPORTANT. You have to be open about how you feel in your marriage no matter what. And once there's kids involved you MUST make time for just each other. A date night, or have family take kids and stay in together for a night. That's one thing I miss is alone time with my man. Of course it's even more rare now seeing as he's an over the road truck driver. But it's great when he's home! ;-)

Yes you can be happy and marriage can be great. Just like any other relationship though you will get pissed off and you will get annoyed. They get on y our nerves sometimes and do things you hate sometimes too. You also get on their nerves and annoy them. These things are normal and that is not what it is like everyday. You have to marry a good person. Too many times the warnings are there and we are blinded by love. You have to keep the communication open, put each other first, show and say how you love and appreciate each other and have the same goals in life. You have to be fair and respectful. You have to deal with problems and not keep secrets. Most of all you have to have fun. Good sex is a must also. Life is a journey, make the most of it. I have been married to my second husband for what will be 17 years in June. The first one cheated on me and we divorced within months.

[1] There are advantages as well as disadvantages to both: Married as well as singles.
[2] If you are married, you have to adjust each others need and requirements, mood, income etc.
[3] If you are single, you will never come to know about the adjustment you have to make about the need and requirements, mood and income of your life partner.
[4] If you are married, you have always helping hand from your spouse in case of emergency whereas, if you are single, you have to depend on others in such cases.
[5] If you are legally married and if you are not in good terms with your spouse, there are chances of separation and divorce if you intend to remarry. But if you are single, you do not require any divorce.
[6] If you are single, you feel the liberty of being single but if you are married, you feel the responsibility of being married.
[7] If you are single, you are not sure of a company in your olden days whereas if you are married, you have all the chances of companion in your olden days.
[8] If you are single, there is no guarantee that you will remain happy being a single till the end of your life and if you are married, there is no guarantee that you will not remain happy.
[9] Similarly, if you are single, there is no guarantee that you will remain unhappy being a single and if you are married, there is no guarantee that you will remain happy.
[10] Its only the belief of the single that married people are not happy and similarly, its the belief of the married that single people are always happy. Its only in thinking.

My marriage is wonderful. We have been married for seven years and we are happy. The key to our marriage is a mutual respect. Just because you get married and love someone, never stop respecting there feelings. Also, we always say please and thank you to strangers, so keep saying it to each other. If you want your spouse to do something ask politely, say thank you when they do it. Alot of marriage problems start because we forget basic courtesy with each other but we show it to other people. Also, the things the two of you do now that make each other happy, keep doing them after you are married, do not stop now that you are married. A happy marriage is work and not this 50 50 bull, each person has to give 100 percent of themselves for a marriage to work and be happy. Remember talk to each other do not yell that just leads to arguements.

Good luck to you and your future husband and may God bless your union.,
