Can you seperate a stack of items in wow?

I want to break a stack down into individual items can i do this?

yes, hold shift and click the item. It then brings up an input box for the number you want to separate from the stack. click okay once you put in the number you want and you are golden.

Shift, click, it'll bring up a little window, choose the amount and it'll seperate the items out.
