Adult ADHD? I think I may have it. I just cant get anything done! Any tips?

Im about to make an appointment with a therapist. Any one feel relieved they had sought help with this disorder. Just curious.

Very relieved. One prescription made the difference between misery and having trouble functioning versus being able to lead a rewarding life, advance in my career, and have far more successful relationships. When i started medication, for the first time in my life I actually enjoyed reading and watching movies.

A psychotherapist can offer cognitive therapy but often medication is needed to really get ADHD/ADD under control. You will probably need to see a board certified psychiatrist to get the prescription(s) that you need.(Yes,ADHD is biological and often genetic.)

Heads up: When people start telling you that you can manage this biological brain disorder without medication ask them which ADHD meds they've personally tried ;)

Good luck. Better days are ahead.

Good luck

See your doc. It's very treatable.
