How do you decide on what you want to do with your life?

My dream career would be managing a hunting property. Except being able to do that requires lots of money or knowing someone with money. Also I have absolutely no experience, although if I ever had the opportunity I know I would succeed.

First you make sure you can take care of what HAS to be done. You support yourself, feed and clothe yourself, house yourself ... and so on. If you can find a way of doing those things while enjoying what you do, you are winning. If you find a way of standing on your own two feet in way that leaves you enough time and money to enjoy life outside of work, you are winning. If you enjoy what you do both inside and outside work, you've just about cracked it. There are no tricks. It's about focus, hard work and working towards what you want out of life. I've retired and still don't know what I want to do with my life but I have made it so far under my own steam and that is quite a rewarding feeling.
Most people in their mid to late teens start wondering which way to direct their efforts to kick start their working career. Most have thoughts of what they would like to do but for most reality is very different from dreams. most will have to start with whatever job they can get. Generally the better educated you are the further up the ladder you will start with better wages and more responsibility. A managerial position would likely be quite a few years down the track and you would need to gain experience in a similar industry such as working in hotels. Few ever get towards the top of their profession for years and it takes drive and solid working practices. You have to prove you can be reliable and can be trusted with responsibility. The more you put yourself forward and seen as a hard worker who can be trusted the sooner you reach your dreams. Those who drink alcohol heavily or do drugs or even smoke are less likely to succeed. Those who drink heavily or do drugs are seen as high risk of personal problems which may affect their ability to be reliable and to make good business decisions. If you want to do well in life you have to get a good education and work hard. Likely you will get more direction in where your life is going after several years of work as you will see your strengths and where those strengths will take you. It's all up to you as only you can make it happen, and if you want it bad enough and are willing to work towards a goal likely you will achieve what you wanted in life. Good luck.
Well that's a very good question. Its important that you find something that you enjoy doing and find rewarding. I realize that doesn't seem like much guidance but it's important that you enjoy what your doing because you will be doing it for a long time.
lots of study on a variety of sciences such as medicine, biology, psychiatry, engineering, agriculture, politics, law, manufacturing, service industries, performing arts, learn as much as you can about each field so you can make a more informed decision which will give a greater chance of success
