Why do people keep saying I'm strong?

I'm a 41 year old overweight woman. Sometimes, I lift weights at my gym. Last time I was doing 3 sets of 12 reps using 20-40 pounds depending on the exercise. Most of the other women in my gym are using less than 10 pounds. I don't understand why many people comment that I'm strong. They could do it too if they were more serious about it instead of just playing with the weights. I'm not doing it for compliments, just working out doing my own thing with the guys in the weight area. The only other women who lift like me are body builders or figure competitors.

Oh, you're sooooo right! If only they were as perfect as you! I mean, all the guys in the gym are after you, and you're 41. You have the strength and body of a body builder! You are perfect! I so wish I could be just like you. Only it's a shame that you don't know what you're talking about. Super is right, the bar is 45lbs. You'd make more progress if you'd quit comparing yourself to others. If you were just doing your own thing like you claim, you wouldn't even notice what the other women are pressing. As it stands, you're building your ego. Big behinds are in, not big heads.

Simple. They have very low expectations. Or they're hitting on you figuring you're gullible, not hot. Do you really need to use YA to toot your horn about your diet, strength, or family choices? This question makes you sound very self-centered and immature for someone who's 41. Saying you're not doing it for praise shows you know you are. Do some self-reflection. You're sending a bad message to your kids about vanity and weight obsession.

Sure you're not doing it for the praise, Dani Mathers? Focus on your own journey and don't worry where anyone else is on theirs.

I seriously doubt you're receiving praise for squatting 20 pounds.
To put this into perspective, just squatting the bar is 45 pounds...

I know you're looking for praise on your progress, but instead of insulting others, you should focus on yourself.
