People keep saying i'm arrogant?

I have a problem that seems to be bugging me more and more lately. people close to me keep referring to me as arrogant and a guy who thinks his better than everyone else. I am a humble guy and even though I have my issues at times I am confident in who I am.

I really would like to know why people may think i'm arrogant and what I could be doing to make people think this.

So far my mother, sister, girlfriend, girlfriends mother, girlfriends sister have said this. I'm really confused.

I can't tell from the little bit you have posted here.

It could be that you have strong opinions and defend them fiercely, and so you seem arrogant.

It could be that you don't like for there to be any disagreement, any your forceful peace making efforts are seen as trying to be in charge.

It could be that your mom, sis, etc, are very insecure people, and any sort of confidence intimidates them so you seem arrogant.

It could be that you are happy with yourself, and they are not. Instead of trying to be more happy, they may try to tear your happiness down.

You should definitely try to talk to them. The next time one of them says something about this, just say "I'm not really sure what you mean by that. Can you describe it a different way? I don't get what you're trying to say."

    Good luck!

How many more people need to TELL you about your behavior before you take a look at yourself? If you're that clueless ask them to give you examples of your arrogance so you can look at it and don't defend yourself like a fortress while you LISTEN!

You'll have to ask them Jay. We haven't spoken to you so we don't know how you act. Be polite and tell them you really want to address this issue and perhaps improve this potential character flaw.

Just ignore them... the world is a NASTY place. I know how it feels to wonder what is wrong with me and how to sort it out when there isn't a real solution.
