How many members of the Bush administration does it take to change a light bulb?
1. One to deny that a light bulb needs to be changed;
2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb needs to be changed;
3. One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb;
4. One to arrange the invasion of a country rumored to have a secret stockpile of light bulbs;
5. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton for the new light bulb;
6. One to arrange a photograph of Bush, dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under the banner: Light Bulb Change Accomplished;
7. One administration insider to resign and write a book documenting in detail how Bush was literally in the dark;
8. One to viciously smear #7;
9. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how George Bush has had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along;
10. And finally one to confuse Americans about the difference between screwing a light bulb and screwing the country.

if President Bush is consistent with his history of setting the agenda of debate on current issues he will recognize certainly that the light bulb needs changing. He'll give a speech somewhere alluding to the urgent need to change the light bulb thus getting the country motivated and more importantly, on his side. Instinctively the Dem's will savagely oppose President Bush's recommendation to change the light bulb and throw up numerous lame reasons for the opposition. Eventually, just as Mr. Bush intended he'll get that light bulb changed but in the process he'll have made the Dem's look once again, rediculously bad in the eyes of the country for being against the urgent and necessary issue of illumination....what a crafty guy dat Buuush!~~~

Actually this is a very complicated question that must be taken through the proper channels of Democracy. The light bulb needs to be analized to be considered if it requires Government intervention at a cost of Millions to the Tax payer. Then if Government intervention is needed there must be a Government organization put into place to analize the most cost effective way to the Tax payer this can be done, at a cost of millions to the Tax payer. Then the organiztion must take Bids from potential Contractors to do the job of changing the light bulb in a cost effective manner for the Tax payer, at a cost of millions to the Tax payer for the paperwork involved in taking the Bids. Once the Contractor has been contracted on behalf of the American Tax payer the work invloved can now take place. So, at the expense of Millions to the Tax payer the Bush Administration has no involment in the changing of the light bulb and can deny any contrary litigation that may arise. So, the answer is zero members of the Bush adminstration are involved in changing the light bulb. Which is really great for the Tax payer, because, Government Officials are not qualified to change a Light Blub, and had they Screwed it up it could have cost the Tax payer Billions of Dollars. So, we can rest easy knowing that the Bush Adminstration has saved the American Taxer payer Billions of dollars.

Good question - better answers. A light bulb "identifies" someone with an "idea", and that's why nobody in the Bush administration can change a light bulb! C'mon now, sell the major US seaports to the Arabs? That light bulb is completely broken, and can't be changed!

"I understand light bulbs. This bulb has done an excellent job in its mission to bring light to the world, in order that terrorists won't be able to hide in the dark shadows. Why change it? I stand behind this light bulb and am awarding it the Medal of Freedom for its fight against the dark forces of evil."

Fact! What a tragically humorous set of answers.
But you forgot to add the first person--someone who accidentally shoots out the bulb with birdshot, and then claims the bulb was in the wrong place.

How true. Note that the lightbulb was never actually changed. Did anyone else pick up on that?

None. They're all so bright and enlightened that a light bulb would be superfluous.
