Will I see any behavior changes after my cat gets fixed?

My one year old female cat is going to the vet's tomorrow to be fixed. Does any one know if I will see any behavior changes? Calm down, get lazy, want more or less attention?

When she comes home she will be sleepy for a while. Do not let her jump on anything high as she may rip her stitches. My cat became lazy after getting her fixed but my mothers cat was playful. Some gain weight, some dont. Give her lots of attention for a while cause she is gonna be hurting. For a little while she may become cranky because her hormones are still in her system and will take a few months to ween off.

That depends on the cat. My female was always hyper and it took her years to calm down! The best thing is they don't do the "hoochie dance" for all the male cats in your window...lol...very embarrassing!

females usually have some changes they start to become more of a lap cat and look for more attention.

yes you will see a change. She will stay at home instead of leaving. She will want more attention from you.

My males didn't really change but my female went from being a little hellion to just being an imp.

The first few days after the operation she may be a bit dopy, but after that she should be back to her normal self.

you should see her calm down a bit, get more friendly, a little heavier, but alwayys remember, she owns you,you dont own her,cts are like that, thats what makes them so cool.

stop worrying mommy!!She will be the same. They do have a tendency to put on weight but their personality stays in tact. She will also be healthier!!
