What memories do certain scents bring back for you?

For my 40th birthday my mom gave me a little teddy bear that was lilac scented. When I smelled it I nearly cried! I immmediatly said "Mom, this smells like mommy!" That was great-grandmother who died when I was 18. She always wore lilac water. And she was my favorite granny.

this is weird but i think of it all the time. I ride my bike around and the handle bars have some kind of rubber scent to it but its kind of a weird smell. well me and my best friend for 3 years rode around all summer long last summer and we had the best times ever. we got in trouble and now he moved and we cant see each other. everyday that i ride my bike i get this feeling of that summer and how great it was and it kind of makes me a little bit sad, but yet its still a good feeling, very cool question

Good Question boy o boy, COOL WATER man o man, I can smell it now, I remember back in the day (early 90's) when I was dating this guy, we were dating for 2years (never had sex), one day he came to my house with that cologne on and I couldnt keep my legs closed.

So he came over again, and he had that cologne on, and again couldn't keep my legs closed. So, finally he caught on that whenever he wore COOL WATER, he'd get some. The two years previous he never wore so he never got it.

True story; however, it doesnt work any longer.

if i smell a flowery scents from back home, i do remember the good old days with my best friend when we play hide & seek in the bushes and we watch a couple necking outside their patio.

if i smell the kerosene, it remind me of my younger days when we have a big can of floor wax and it was dry, my mom told my brother to put gas on it in order to soften it, my brother thought he need to light it, we are running in and out of the bathroom to put the fire out. if its not for my uncle, we won't have our house anymore.

the scent of bug spray always reminds me of camping when I was a kid

Cigarettes makes me remember my grandma. Fertilizer especially a certain kind makes me think of summer because it smelled like the fair I would show the animals at.

The scent of the sea brings memories back to me...

It is one of the best memories that i have had with my one true love....
