What do you think about Michael Berg, father of Nick Berg, running for the U.S House seat in Delaware?

He has a right to run just as anyone who meets the qualifications does. His reasons are probably better than most poiticians (ie lust for power, greed etc...)

I think his son shouldn't have been their. Nick was in Iraq shortly after the "active hostilities" ended, unemployed, looking for a business opportunity. It sounds a little fishy, but that's neither here nor there. What really rubs me the wrong way is a parent exploiting the death of a child for personal political gain. Whether your a Cindy Sheehan, Mike Berg, or that fruitcake minister from Kansas who protests at funerals of soldiers claiming that they died because the US allows gays. It's garbage, no matter what side it comes from. As far as his chances of winning... doubtful at best, and the sooner he's out of the media and looses his little "power trip" at the expense of his son, the better.

I am confused about Michael Berg...either he is the most forgiving person in the world, or the stupidest. He does not want a fight against the very men who beheaded his son....

Either he is one to be admired...or one to be concerned for. I don't think he should walk the Cindy Sheehan path and try to utilize a personal tragedy for political gain...I do support people who try to make a change though...as long as it stays positive.

I realize Delaware is a small state, but surely there is someone there more qualified. With some experience, even?

After all, losing a kid to the war effort isn't enough for them.....the parents also must be willing to kiss bush's *** in order to still be considered "patriotic".
