Why are there so damn many "could I be pregnant" questions being asked here?
The answer is always clearly "Yes you could be" if you have ever had unprotected intercourse.
Why do little girls who obviously know nothing about sex engage in it and then come and ask anonymous people if they could be pregnant? Are they looking for attention? Are they too stupid to get a pregnancy test and use it? Do they not understand that if they are possibly pregnant they should be asking a ob/gyn and getting prenatal care?
Gah!! It is going to be tough to pick a best answer. I may have to put it to a vote.

It doesn't matter how advanced we ever get as a society. Long after we've colonized other worlds; after we've conquered poverty, hunger and disease; after we've expanded our understanding of what exists beyond the limits of our three dimensional, five senses comprehension; we'll fly home in our hover cars, log into the galaxy-wide-web, sign onto Yahoo! Answers and read "I heard that you can't get pregnant if the guy is your brother. Is that true?"

I asked this question last week and got alot of answers that were negative towards me, about how I was being insensitive towards these girls. I feel the same way you do, these girls are stupid and need to be sat down and talked to by their parents about sex and pregnancy. Its not a game, and should not be treated like one. And to the "adult" women that ask such questions, you should know by now that unprotected sex = pregnancy. If you are responsible enough to have sex, you are responsible enough to go and get a test and prenatal care if it comes out positive. Leave yahoo answers for its intended purpose, not a pregnancy indicator.

That is how I feel. If you think you are pregnant get a test done. If you are go to the doctor. I think they just want attention on here. I mean come on I was 19 when I was pregnant but I have enough mind to tell my husband to bring home a test and he did and I was. Now I dont know what they are putting in these kids food these days but for them not to know what the hell is going on and having sex is just outrageous. There should be a law with what age you should have sex or only have it when you are smart enough to take a test if you think you are. Damn these kids these days arent bright at all.

Because they are looking for someone to tell them they couldn't be pregnant because that is what they want to believe! I had a planned pregnancy at 21 with my husband but was still TERRIFIED when I thought I was pregnant and when I found out for sure. Being pregnant is a SCARY deal and I can't imagine what a little teenager would be feeling.
But the fact that they come on here asking is pointless, either they are pregnant or they aren't, it doesn't matter what a bunch of people tell them.

Because many of them are sadly so young, they think they can't talk to their parents about it without getting "punished". I wish they could understand that talking to their parents is the best possible thing they could ever do in that situation.
But the reason they're here in the first place is largely due to parental irresponsibility. No one's effectively teaching these girls that anytime semen gets into their vagina, yes, they might be pregnant. Also, no one's taken the time to outline the responsibilities and consequences that come along with a sexual relationship.

You have answered your own question. These little girls who apparently have little or no knowledge about reproduction are having unprotected sex. Then they wonder if they are pregnant and don't even know enough to take a test or go to a Dr. Reading some of their questions is a real eye opener and shocking.

Because those little girls are young and foolish. By looking at their situation, they weren't taught any better or had any supervision in their lives. If their parents weren't involved (or maybe they were, but the girls moved in a way that please themselves), then who else are they going to ask? Their friends and people via the Net, especially considering how the Net has gotten so popular with young people these days. Their ignorance is pretty sad and now they have to pay the price, so they come here for "guidance."

Uh, actually, you are only fertile for 3-5 days out of your cycle. It's possible to get pregnant the other days, but the chances aren't as great. You know absolutely nothing about sex. I do agree with you about how they need to stop asking the questions on here and go to a real doctor.

I can only assume that they are woefully ignorant as to the workings of the female reproductive system, the consequences of unprotected intercourse and not resourceful enough to entertain the thought of taking a pregnancy test or seeing a physician.

It is sad that these woman and kids come on here have no clue about sex or pregnancy. They have never been educated whatsoever. A bunch of dunce people if you ask me. They come on here thinking this is a hospital or something.

It's getting so annoying. You would think that someone would learn about sex and pregnancy before going out and having sex. I knew all about sex and how pregnancy occurred before I lost my virginity. That would be the smart thing to do.
