Why don't they make mouse-flavoured cat food?

Do you know what a mouse tastes like?

When I was 4 (I am now 57) I asked that of my grandmother. She didn't know, either.

When my cats catch mice they never eat them. I think a lot of cats just like to chase them and watch them panic... not eat them. Plus in order to make mouse flavored cat food we would have to know what it taste like. Maybe the chinese should give us tips... dont they eat gerbils or something? This brings up another question though.... HOW do we know what dog food and cat food taste like? Do people get paid to taste them? HHMMMM

well because some cats eat the mouse and some dont. some just like to kill them or chase around and play with them

good question... maybe it's the thrill of the hunt that cats like better then the taste or maybe raising mice for pet food is just not practical as the bi-products from chicken farms and corn etc....
