I have a 5 month old baby and my monster-in-law wants to give her a bottle of tea, is this OK for babies?

I don't think it's a good idea do you?

Actually, doctors recommend tea as a light laxitive for infants. It's pretty common, and is supposed to help with upset tummies. I gave my baby tea when he was small.

  • No and you should make sure she doesn't. Tea has caffeine which isn't good for a five month old (plus, their brain is developing and this could hamper its proper growth). Opt for milk or breastfeeding, etc.

If you don't think it is a good idea, then don't let her. It's your baby.

Tea contains both tannin and caffeine,
