What's the most dust free cat litter?

I use Cat's Pride. It says 99% dust free, but it's very dusty. Thanks for your help!

When a client comes to our store looking for dust free litter...(truly dust free) we can only recommend one product truthfully and that is "Yesterday's News".

"Worlds' Best" is very good too, but I find little dusty paw prints on my carpet after they use the litterbox, which leads me to believe there is a small amount of dust in the product.

Anything else has failed miserably in the 'dustfree' claim in my opinion.

    Good Luck

The food grade silica crystals or beads are the most dust free, however, they shouldn't be used for kittens as they like to play with litter and can choke on them or ingest it causing a blockage.

Clumping clay is also bad for ALL cats as it gets on their feet and fur and they lick it and it ends up setting like cement in their tummy and you can imagine the consequences of that.

Diatemaceous earth, meant for cats, not the garden type, is not dust free but it's good to use and it also a natural treatment for intestinal worms in cats. If you take it outside and sift it before using, you can remove a lot of the dust.

I don't like recycled paper products, the reason being, if one day your cat gets upset about the litter tray for some reason, it will find whatever paper is around and use THAT to do it's thing on. Not good if it's something important or if it soaks through into your furnishings.

I have used wood pellets and these are good and have little dust but you need to have a sifter tray for it to be economical as when wet it turns to mush and it's difficult to pick up with a scoop.

They are all pretty much the same. I've used just about everything. The only product I haven't tried (but have heard great things about) is called "The World's Best Cat Litter." If memory serves me correctly, they sell it at PetsMart. It's supposed to be as dust-free as you can get.

Or you can try one of the non-clay types of liiter, like those made from pine or newspaper. Those are definitely dust-free.

The one I like the best is Scoop Away Cat Litter. It is good for multiple cats too and isn't as dusty. Plus it clumps tighter than other cat litter does.

Good luck I hope this is helpful!

The best I have used lately is the kitty krystals .

It is very drying and absorbs the odors and moisture from the litter box. Best I have used for quite some time is a mixture of the Krystals and some of the clumping litter.. That way you can clean out the clumps and the krystals last a lot longer.

I use the Tidy Cats with odor locking crystals. It is awesome about controlling odors, AND leaves very little dust in the air.

I actually use the crystals for multiple cats. It's dust free and it fights odor better than any of the others.

Try using the crystal bubble kind that absorbs fluid and expand into larger bubbles. Sorry for the description...not so sure what they're called. Just go into any pet supplies store, and you should be able to find them. They're completely dust free, and very easy to clean out.

    Good luck!

I think any litter that isn't fine grain isn't dusty. I just use cheap stuff...I find fine grain to actually be messier.

I use the crystals. They cost more but last a lot longer and control odor better.
