Vets and vet techs- raw beef good for cats?
As someone who doesn't like preservatives and processed foods for myself, let alone my animals, are small pieces of raw beef okay for pet treats on say, on weekly basis?
I figure they eat their prey raw, so why not?

Your cat is just as susceptible to the same disease we are from raw food. This is a bad idea. You can get organic cat treats for your pet

Feed Innova Evo cat food. It's all natural, and is the exact diet for a feline. You can find it on line or a better pet stores. They even have treats. It's also a raw diet preserved with vitamin E.
A cats digestive system will usually kill any bacteria that can sometimes be found in raw meat. As a matter of fact most show cats are fed a diet of raw meats and veggies. Same with Show Dogs.

I feed my cats a home-made raw meat diet (with a supplement powder). I use organic raw chicken and organic raw turkey. Some raw chicken liver and hearts with the chicken and raw turkey liver and hearts with the turkey. It's important not to mix up the protein sources -- that's the natural way cats eat.
My cats did not like beef, as a matter of fact the one cat who ate it threw it up five minutes later.
See if your cat will eat a raw chopped up chicken wing, a small amount of raw chicken liver and some raw hearts. This is a complete meal for the cat -- lean muscle meat and bone for calcium, Vitamin A in the liver, and taurine in the hearts. If your cat likes this you can buy large packages at the supermarket (hormone and antibiotic free of course), make up the little "meals" and freeze in a large muffin tin and then transfer to a large plastic bag for thawing when needed. This is a totally balanced meal which you can feed three or four times a week.

you should be speaking to the veterinarian and not the vet tech. while you're particularly in touch, talk over with the veterinarian and the vet can address your concerns - the stats. it ought to reason renal failure yet possibly it rather is purely handed off in a small variety of cats - so in prepare - fairly unlikely that your cat would be affected or renal failure ought to be brought about from different issues besides. considering that your cat is an elder, renal failure is already a danger faster or later or some thing else. To me, she continues to be youthful yet I basically lost a kitty that replaced into 10 a million/2 years previous - cancer. a chum of mine lost his cat with the aid of renal failure at 10 years previous. It replaced into surprising. some months past, he won a sparkling bill of well-being - had his enamel wiped sparkling. regrettably, you should circulate by your vet. you should examine with a close-by pharmacist yet those i've got worked with did no longer comprehend too lots approximately veterinary drugs nonetheless they should. it style of feels to me that every person drugs have their detrimental aspects, fairly in cats that are small. they want an exceedingly small dose, frequently. My mom is a vet tech. She's on holiday now or i could ask her. are you able to call a vet basically exterior your section and spot what they might inform you? that's what i prefer to propose.

if you would eat the raw meat go for it
however consider that is your little furry bundle of joy (most of the time) is is worth risking it's health. You can always give it to em cooked, save a little piece when you have it.
The best thing is just to stick with the treats made for cats and they do love them. I had one cat that would try to get into the box herself, had it open once too.

I am not a vet tech, but I have one in our family. Don't give raw meat to your animals. Not a good idea. Raw meat has bacteria that cooking kills.

You do not need to be feeding your pet raw meat. Just like it is for humans, it is dangerous to eat raw meat. You could be indangering your pets, and putting them at risk.
