Because it's a brand new feature and they're not used to having it as an option.

To be honest, I don't have the patience. When I respond while I am at work it takes forever to do anything or does nothing at all because I am on an ancient Mac there.

I don't mind wrong words...its when people post in abbreviations like "ur" and "u" . That drives me nuts, but I'm sure my spelling drives people nutty. I typically know how to spell but I think faster than what I am capable of typing and sometimes skip letters etc.

a million. probable 2. actual 3. indisputably 4. greater suitable than probable 5. My determination because of the fact the #a million reason the backside line: you're top approximately misspelled words on an utility, cover letter or resume. whilst a potential employer comes upon the 1st misspelled be conscious or grammatical blunders, maximum of them will stop reading and do away with the applicant as a a threat worker.

I'm thinking because as willing as people are to helping answer questions, its just a way to waste time...so why waste more spell checking.

Anyway most (not all) the questions on here can be answered by doing a simple "search" on the internet, who sounds more stupid, the person not bothering to spell check or the person with the easy answered question?!

This question gets brought up alot. Sadly, the spell checker doesn't force people to use punctuation. I can't tell you how many answers I've read that don't have a single period. And these are our future leaders!

My guess is that if you're too lazy and/or stupid to care to spell correctly in the first place, you're not going to bother to go the extra mile to click the check spelling button.

I don't bother to click it because I use the newest RC of the Mozilla Firefox browser, and it checks your spelling for you in text boxes. Look for this new feature in Firefox 2.0 when it comes out!

In my experience, people who post things rife with spelling errors are just inexperienced typists who still need to gaze directly at the keyboard whilst typing. Lack of eye contact with the screen prevents them from noticing their errors as they appear. I share a computer at work with someone who hunts and pecks... painful to watch.

I wouldn't expect someone this uncomfortable with typing to even consider a spell check function... to them they're on a typewriter that makes less noise.

Source(s): I work with a hunter pecker (no pun intended).

I have NOT been able to figure that out myself!!! Their spelling looks like a 6 year old could have written it! I don't usually choose someone as "Best Answer" when they have terrible spelling and when their punctuation is awful. It's a total turn-off!

Sometimes I just forget. Maybe the button should be bolder, so my eyes go straight to it. This problem gets worse at night. It should be red or hot orange!
