Food poisoning?

My brother & I both woke up last night with food poisoning and I was wondering what are some suggestions to help get us feeling better? Besides rest, is there anything we can take to calm our stomachs down?

Yuck! Food poisoning is the worst! It's one of those things that you just have to let run its course. However, there are some things that always help my stomach. I don't know where you're from, but if you're from anywhere that you can find Vernor's pop, that's always helpful. It's like a ginger ale. Also, just some soda crackers. You definitely need to drink lots of clear fluids, and try to eat something like chicken broth...just something to give you some nourishment without being harsh on your stomach. Other than that, my best advice is to curl up with plenty of blankets and pillows on the couch, and watch some good movies:o)

There is not a whole lot to do to calm down your stomach's after food poisoning. Pepto Bismol and other related stomach medicines are somewhat helpful but usually with food poisoning you can't keep them down. Just stay relaxed and wait it out. It usually takes about three days to recover from food poisoning. Good luck!! By the way if you are into herbal remedies licorice root works great for calming an upset stomach.

just be sure to stay hydrated. But sip...dont gulp!

Stay away from any heavy foods, you probably dont feel hungry anyway. You just have to let your body expel whatever it is that made you sick.
