Apply Mentholatum rub or Crisco Shortening as soon as you start to feel a tingle, itch, etc. For the swelling apply ice. I take 500 mg. of Vitamin C everyday to keep my immune system strong. melt under low heat gum spirits of camphor in a small amount of olive oil apply to blister frequently.i carry a bottle with me working and apply frequently this works as well or better than 'drug store' meds and is far cheaper. you can buy camphor at the drug store or health food store. olive oil is available in any food store
