my compulsively meowing cat?

i have a cat that just won't shut up. i love him to death but it is a serious problem. He has everything he needs: food, attention, toys, interaction, comfort, etc. I don't know what he is so upset about. But he always goes down the hall and just beging meowing and will not stop. I've tried to chase him out of the hall when he does it and i've tried to make him go in his pet taxi when he acts up for long periods of time. I don't know what else to do. nothing has worked. he just keeps meowing, and quite loud.

any suggestions?????

3 things to look into …

    1) pain or illness (need to have a vet check this one out)

    2) loss of a friend/mate (2 or 4 legged)

    or

    3) has he been neutered ? - A frequent cause of crying, or vocalization, is the desire to mate. (whereas humans just hang out in bars and make fools of themselves trying to find a mate) Sometimes neutering will stop the crying. – At least in cats.- Not so sure about in men.

Has the cat been spayed or neutered? You said "he" so I'm going to assume it's a boy. If he hasn't been neutered, he will meow if there is a female cat in heat within 5 miles of your house. It drives them crazy. If he has been neutered, does he have fresh water? My cat will meow non-stop if her water bowl is empty. Have you had him checked by a vet? Worms can cause stomach aches.

Did you flow away for somewhat? Even after being away over nighttime my cat replaced into continually extra beneficial affectionate and meow-y when I got here domicile. If i replaced into away for an prolonged era, regardless of a house sitter, he could be by employing my area and begging for interest for days. or possibly some thing on your social existence has replaced. in case you're spending extra time faraway from domicile she could desire a sprint extra particular interest once you're domicile. If no longer or, even, if it lasts any extra take her to the vet. Cats can exhibit ailment in maximum of diverse techniques that this may be an illustration. i know how complicated it somewhat is for the two cat and proprietor to flow to the vet (Mine have been given so scared they had to sedate him even for trouble-free verify-united stateselse he'd attack everybody, alongside with me! He replaced into the photograph of the candy, cuddly cat at domicile, yet on the vet... i replaced into continually surprised they by no potential pronounced he replaced into merely feral or I an abusive proprietor!). it may be some thing physiological or maybe removing that threat is properly definitely worth the trauma of shuttle and vet. Meowing is usually a reasonably great sign of a few thing as cats merely somewhat vocalise to people as quickly as they are able to outlive on their own. they at the instant are not vocal animals yet understand that we are. They meow to let us know they desire some thing. they enormously plenty merely vocalise to one yet another to mate or threaten.

You're trying to make him act like a dog. He has no idea that these punishments are caused by the yowling. You just have a loud cat.

You don't mention how old your cat is.....some of the older kitties I have had have done this. I think it's an attention thing. If you kitty is older, it could be dementia.
