Wow and I thought my dog pooped big and stunk. Well, just like naything else, take him out the same time every day.. about 15-20 minutes after eating, however that is a big animal, you may need to wait longer, then again they eat a lot, may need to go sooner....... let me ask my trainer......

Do what I do,load up the sofa with Hippos.

Leave a trail of peanuts to the litter box. If you don't have any peanuts at the moment, you can use mini marshmallows.
