Kitichenaid mixers you requests them more men or women?
Got my Christmas present early this year so I can bake the bread for Christmas Dinner this year. My wife and daughter were suprised that I asked for the mixer. But the more men I talk to say they are the ones that ask for them.

I think the men. I, for one, simply love mine for doing everything in one bowl, with less fuss and cleanup required.
I think the big seller (for most guys) is that there is such a variety of accessories available to do stuff with...from grinding your own meat, making sausage, opening cans, juicing citrus fruit, grinding your own grain, making ice cream, making pasta, to shredding and processing fruits and vegetables. If it had a margarita ice shredder and blending attachment, consider it the one thing any guy should have in their house! :-)
I like to think of it as the Dremel of the Kitchen. I can do lots of different projects with it, it's one tool with many accessories I can add to make things with, and it's fairly compact, meaning I don't have to make a mess of the whole kitchen (since I have to clean up after I mess up!) when I want to do one or more of the above things.

I had a Kitchen Aid mixer before I met my husband. He totally loves it! My mom bought one for my dad a few years ago too.
I don't think it's strange that a man would want one. It's a great machine, especially for people who like to bake.
Good luck & try the Blueberry Oat Bread recipe in the instruction manual. It's delicious!

Hey, i just picked up my present yesterday! Kitchen-Aid 475W 5 quart HD $259 at Costco! Present from my Parents for me and the wife although i'll use it 92% of the time. But My wife will benefit with the good eats.
I think it just depends on who the chef/baker is in the house and what they enjoy making.

Well, I asked for mine. But when DH bakes cookies w/ DS for Cub Scout projects, he's awful glad I have it.
A wonderful piece of electrical equipment that makes short work of a tough job is always a joy.

My mom got hers when I was a teenager, but my dad used to use the shredding gadgets often. I received mine for a wedding present, my hubby doesn't cook or we would probably fight over who was using the shredding attachments.

My father never asked for one, outright, but, he did try to get my mother one year after year. She doesn't cook, so it was pointless for her to get one.
Dad finally has his and now, I have mine... so, I'd say it's about even.
They are the creme-de-la-creme of the baking world.
