    They can't climb if they have been declawed. Nor can they protect themselves in fights or to climb a tree to get out of harms way. They are also unable to provide food for themselves outside. Cats that have been declawed can only survive inside the house or an enclosed cat house. If these declawed cats do manage to get outside, and cats are notorious escape artists, they are doomed to death. It is cruel to a cat to amputate their toes. Declawing a cat is, in reality an amputation of their toes. Having had cats all of my life and having be a breeder I know what happens to declawed cats and that is death if they get outside. I have also bread cats for a living.

    they use their pads. most of the time they still think they have claws anyways so it just might be "mind over matter" they have no minds so it doesn't matter! ha ha just kidding...i have a cat myself and it is dewclawed and she climbs and tries sharpening her claws on everything :)

    Oh, poor baby...it has been declawed..i had thought it was illegal NOW A DAYS...years ago, i know they use to do it...BUT IT LEFT THE CAT WITHOUT PROTECTION FROM THE OTHER BULLIES...I DO NOT KNOW how they can climb without claws!!!??? beats me!!

    they think they can climb, therefore they climb, it is just a cat thing i suppose.

    they use their pads to grab with and they paws are strong so they grab and climb

    They can't...that's why you shouldn't get them declawed.
