Do you like to give the wrong answer?

Why do people answer a question that doesnt partain to them and give the wrong answer? Just an example is there is a question here about what is the Christian view on Dinosaurs. Not a single Christian there claims they are a hoax or a "test" but the non-christians answer it for us saying "They believe it's a hoax to test them hahaha" and thats just the wrong answer.

Christians, and other religions do this too, give the wrong answer to a question that isnt directed to them. Of course, its ok to give an answer even if the question is directed to someone else, but WHY do so many people insist on giving the WRONG answer?

Well, actually I have heard that one from a Christian and I am not saying it is a representative view but it is not made up.

Sometimes it is ok to point out the illogical conclusions drawn from a philosophy to point out flaws in that philosophy.

I agree that this happens. And I do it sometimes. But there is always a grain of truth to it. Let's face it, christians are all over the map in terms of how they harmonize their religious views with physical observation and the 'accuracy' of the bible. For instance some say the story of the flood is an allegory and not meant to be taken literally while others take it so literally that they contend it didn't rain until the fllod.

On the other hand, Christians, willfully misinterpet the theory of evolution despite being corrected on it irepeatedly. No biologist has ever claimed that man evolved from monkeys or that a monkey suddenly gave birth to a human or that a fish gave birth to a bird. Yet I see this false representation on here ALL THE TIME and oftern from the same person despite the fact that their error has been pointed out to them.

People can make honest mistakes. Also there is the problem that some other people have pointed out of it being impractical. What we can / should / supposed to do is give correct answers an up vote and bad / wrong answers a down vote. Votes do affect where an answer is once there is more than one page of answers. However if you see someone saying that they are an export, for example clamming to be a lawyer or doctor, and they give a wrong answer you can report them for miss representation which does have negative repercussions for that person.

I try and give an honest answer. Unless the question appears to be incredibly stupid, then I just take the piss and make a run for it with my two points.

Instead of just asking one group to answer, consider everyone's responses. You may learn more that way.

Questions that ask for an opinion have no "wrong" or "right" answers. Now, on the other hand, if you asked a question that needed a FACTUAL answer, there are right and wrong answers. You just don't like the answers you're getting, and that, in your opinion, makes them "wrong".

well i'm glad that you're at least pointing out that christians and other religions give the wrong answer and not just picking on atheists and agnostics although who gets to say what's right and what's wrong

I think this is an interesting game, but to me it is still just a game. I do agree with you though, that a lot of people on here answer questions to discredit Christians.

Needling the questioner and point garnering are all fairly common here. I, personally enjoy answering a question in a funny way when I want to be an outright dick.

Annoying, isn't it? Like when someone posts a question on wicca and fifteen christians post "turn away and repent from that evil while there's till time!"

Like it or not, even if it's not directed at them, everyone has an a opinion. Frustrating, but true.
