Does it pay to be honest anymore?

First time you're caught for doing anything illegal now, you'll get a fine and sent home, because the prisons are so full (UK). So, lets all start robbing banks and shops. You could do it for years before you get caught. Just remember that once you're caught you have to stop. Oh, and say how sorry you are and plead guilty. You'll not get as big a fine. Do you think this is the way the country will go?

    We're coming out, guns blazing.

The two of you -- all of us --

    acquittal after acquittal until

the stench of it reaches so high

into heaven it chokes the whole

    ******* lot of them!

Liars, sorry lawyers are a big problem; they will make this place we live in hell one day, because they just love the blood money -

Remember, it was the JUDGE who dealt a sentence that HE deemed to be appropriate, not John Reid.

If the Judge believes that he can justify his immoral action, by putting all responsibility a man that was not present (John Reid), then this place will be a ******* hell very soon indeed.

I personally cannot stand John Reid, however, to NOT enforce such a legal case with a stay in Jail, proves what really is wrong with the legal system: the tosser wearing the Wig...

That would be the easy way out of economic problems if you were successful. I would condone this except for the fact that the perpetrator might hurt someone else physically or mentally during the act of the crime. That would be ultimate evil. Also, I'd not do it because I must look in the mirror each day and be able to tell myself that I am good because I am an honest person along with other reasons.

The country with its punishment and prisons system is ridiculous at the moment there letting murders and rapist out early when they shouldn't be and they just re commit, there letting crimes go un punished, its all a joke.

Fair enough fines and that for little petty crimes. But we should be giving harsher longer sentences for all the other crimes. Stop giving prisoners luxuries (there supposed to be being punished) that would save loads of money, then use the money saved to build new prisons.

Know what u mean. The system does not work. My sister turned in clothes she had bought from a man at a park after realizing from reading the paper that they were stolen from a robbery of a local store. VOLUNTARILY she went to the police and they are trying now to say she was involved and charging her with recieving stolen property! So much for trying to do the right thing.

No, hopefully! It certainly pays to be honest. At least you can sleep at night! If you became dishonest overnight people would soon notice! Leave the bank robberies to the professionals. It isn't as easy as you make it sound!

.well it looks that way, if the government doesn't sort itself out and get to grips with what going on, then the best thing one could do is try and find an empty cell and lock yourself in, as this would be the safest place to be
