I'm a teenager I just slipped and my wrists got cut I have a job interview for a camp counselor job tomorrow.

They'll think I'm suicidal, but I'm not! What should I do? I'll try to cover it with a long sleeve shirt, but if they notice? Also, what kind of questions (unrelated to the wrist) might they ask? If they ask about diversity, how do I answer without sounding mad racist?

Update:

I had the interview. If they noticed the cuts (hidden by long sleeves, but maybe my wrists poked out a little) they didn't say anything. It went pretty well, but they need 3 recommendations! Isn't that a lot?

Tell them the truth the way that you did here. I would not worry about it.

you can try puting a bracelet or a skater type of bracelet made out of cloth or dont make such a big deal about it. Things like this happen and besides making it a big deal is what makes people question it and besides. Some of the questions that they might ask is are you good with kids. do you have experience. they might also ask if you ever had a job related to the job your being interviewed for. Also, they might ask if you have references that can back up your work and also if you have ever had a job before. Oh and about being diverse: ask your self am i racist and if you are then just answer it similar like this: I consider my self some what diverse because i'm open to new things and I like to surrond myself with diferent things and people that is what makes life worth living

If your nervous about your wrists, then they may notice. Just walk in confident about your abilities and you will be fine. As for the diversity question, why would you want your potential employer to hear you sound like a mad racist? If it does come up, be truthful because they may need to know if you can handle socializing with members of other races.

Can you wear a watch or bracelets to hide the cuts? Maybe a long-sleeved shirt too.

For the questions, it depends on the questions and how you want to answer them.

Do the cuts really look like you tried to kill yourself?
