How do I get my month old Kittens to eat?

I know that at a month old you’re supposed to begin weaning Kittens. My Kittens are now a month and 2 days old and though they will take like 2 laps of "Kitten milk" from a bowl they will not take anymore. I was told to soak kitten chow in the "Kitten Milk" and make it into a paste and give it to them however they are not interested at all. Mama Cat has started spending less and less time with them only feeding them maybe once a day. I do not have a spot that I can leave them out on the floor with food and even if I were to do that Mama Cat eats the Drenched Kitten chow before the Kittens show any interest. Can someone please give me some ideas?

My kittens began eating kitten chow on their own.

I know that kittens first lesson in solid food is by smelling and licking the whiskers of the mother cat after she has eaten. This stimulates their interest. IF they get hungry enough, instinct will kick in and their hunger will drive them to try the solid food.

I like the other member's answer about offering a variety of foods including soft foods.

I also know that when the mother saw fit (in her good judgement) she began bringing home kills for her kittens. She would take a bite of fur and give it to the kittens as a lesson. This was VERY effective training at teaching them to be hunters and have a taste for game. This won't happen if the mother is not a hunter. It is possible for you to teach the kittens to be hunters using this method.

keep in mind that there are particular ingredients that would favor to be prevented once you're making your own cat nutrition. never feed your cat chocolate, onions, beef (including writer 1st baron verulam), uncooked fish, uncooked eggs, milk or bones. each and each and every of those has its own ill outcomes on cats. So no longer that stuff, yet you may grind up different meats, upload seasonings like kelp powder and some vegetables. no longer too a lot dairy as your kitten or cat receives runny poop. if you're in search of something your kitten can eat, at 3 months, usual kitten nutrition might want to paintings, Purina is a strong kind. If it doesn't favor to eat that, you may always only enable the nutrition soak in water (somewhat to soften it) and your kitten would eat it then And my sources are some web pages that would want which could also help you locate incredible recipies or which have a recipe on them. wish that permits Oh, and do not feed your cat Tuna!! Did I say that already? that is undesirable for them because of the mercury in it

Mamma cats usually instruct their kittens in this. You can soak the food or offer canned food to try and peak their intrest. It's not uncommon for some kittens to not be completely weaned until 6-8 weeks of age!

OK get a syringe like at the doctors but no needle and then put food in the syringe and open the cats mouth then push it in the cats mouth but only do this when the cat is ready to eat!

My best suggestion is to bottle feed them. They are only a month old so normally they would feed from their mother. I would also make sure that the milk is warm. This is so it does not upset their stomach.
