Al Qaeda bombed the Iraqi Parliament, an Iraqi bridge and two more sites in Algeria. So how is it that?
our occupation of Iraq is keeping us safe from terrorists? It appears that they can take any target of their choosing and that they have the forces to do it as well.
True, none of these sites were in the US (yet) but Parliament is within our most heavily fortified areas and they walked right through. If you can't see the message Al Qaeda was sending by doing that then you will definitely be caught off guard when they take out another US target.
Al Qaeda took credit for these bombing, stay current.

Don't think anyone wants to disband the NYPD because it is fighting crime in NYC, just as no one is saying the US Military should be disbanded. But if the NYPD were fighting criminals in Kathmandu, Nepal, for example, based on the premise that the safety of Manhattan depends on catching criminals there, wouldn't you think that was a stupid idea? If you do, then you should be able to grasp why the war in Iraq is, among other reasons, totally disastrous and misguided for these United States.

The Iraqi Parliament, an Iraqi Bridge, and two more sites in Algeria are located in the USA?

Yes it is! Notice it wasn't an American bridge, the American government and two other American sites that were bombed. By the way, ITS A WAR! Things are bound to get bombed. Thanks for the two points.

Gee, I guess we should just go home & give up trying. I heard that there were several murders in NYC recently, I guess we should probably disband the NYPD
