Anyone else typing/reading?

around a cat right now? I adopted a kitty about a month or so ago, and she is crazy about chasing the cursor on my computer monitor. My other cat couldn't care less. Do you let your cat play and adapt to him/her? I'm a wimp - I adapt to her... LOL.

(this is a 'just for fun' question, btw)

Update:

No, it doesn't bother me at all. I think it's funny. Like I said it's a 'just for fun' question, and I thought it's something only cat lovers would understand. She's a joy!

I am currently typing with a dog sitting in my lap - he's stressed, but much easier to control than a kitten! I do work at an animal shelter so frequently do have kittens in my office who are on me or my desk while I'm on the computer. Unless they are knocking everything over or constantly walking on the keyboard, I let them do it. Obviously I'm a big softie, since I work in a shelter. I bet the adopters are thrilled that I have encourged the kitten to climb on the furniture, though!

One of my cats loves playing with the cursor and chases words on the screen as I am typing. The other likes to play with my keyboard when I am typing and tries to catch my fingers!

That is a cat's job to be in our face every chance they get. They eventually learn to get along with other animals in the house. Cats are fun to be with and to watch play.

I got my first kitten a couple months ago, and she rules the roost. She is demanding about petting time and play time, and she'll sometimes get upset if I do something else around the house without involving her. She's an adorable little brat!

yeah, i got a new kitty a few days ago. she just watches the mouse a little bit, but the annoying part is she expects to be pet the whole time. my other cat, Bucky, doesn't really care about that kind of stuff though...

our youngest did that when he was little and just learning things... now at almost 3 years old.... he loves to still watch the cursor move and he's getting into the habbit of licking your fingers when you type.... let your cat have fun unless it bothers you..

Both of my cats are always around where I am, so they jump on the computer, even play with the mouse(ha ha) and etc., They do it because they love you. Just appreciate them and love them back. They will be your best friends forever.

Nope, sorry, no kitty. But there is a bunny!

    Fun question, didn't you say?

But I love cats too, and I have raised so many of them even if they weren't mine... Oh, how I miss them.

my cat does the same thing, he's always chasing the cursor on my screen, I let my cat do chase it as long as he doesn't step on the keyboard

Well when I'm doing something on the floor my cat will try to get my attention, if she can't get my attention and I'm writing she'll attack my pencil. If that doesn't work she'll lie down on the book/paper, then I just can't resist :).
