Who cares if some hick local "bounty hunter" (doesn't anyone use the term bail bondsman on Y.A.?) supposedly has some so-called other rights than you or I (which they did not even cite, so I find that highly questionable)? Even if they did, we are taking about the World Wide Web here. This is the internet and HELLO PEOPLE, we have an entire new ocean of crime that has untapped and unknown potential for international victims and it is called IDENTITY THEFT. Repeat after me, identity theft. Good. Plain and simple, this isn't the old days of slander and/or libel. Identity theft by the World Wide Web available to anyone with an IPS provider or the hackers themselves or plain old "good guys" like uh, "a local bounty hunter."

(Personally, I'd view the scumbag as a form of alimony for pain and suffering.) Finding a good attorney (no pun intended) is never fun or easy and takes sometimes a few sour grapes before you hit a ripe peach, but always remember--YOU retain their services. YOU pay them to work for YOU. Never sign that initial retainer contract with an attorney with the mind frame that you owe him anything; he is your employee. Period. I know. I know this isn't generally what is preached here but I've been up and back and through the court systems with an attorney, or else in pro per, and approached the bench personally to do the job of what I gave thousands to a guy in a 3 piece suit to do so I have no reason to lie about it. Set up a webside and plaster his mug on it with false criminal information on it and see how he likes it and call his bluff. "You take me off first, then I will yours." Who is this "bounty hunter"? I have a little kittycat here that could blind him with one swipe and feel good about it! Good luck to you!

Get a lawyer. Unfortunately, bounty hunters don't always have to follow the same rules as regular folks and police officers but this sounds like it could fall under defamation but only a lawyer can tell you for sure. Good luck. Hope you will let us know how this turns out.
