Please help me, I took a pregnancy test and it said positive!! I've never had a baby..?

I've never had a baby before but my boyfriend and I are very happy about it. I've missed two periods and took the test three days ago. I have a really pain when I urinate(which is very frequently!) and I've been reading books and I'm so scared something is wrong. Anyone know???

I'm going to the docters on monday but I am scared of the outcome. I nearly fainted two weeks ago aswell while I was washing up. Now I'm connecting this with the pregnancy, is this normal??

I am 24 this year and my boyfriend is going to be 25 this year. He has been so great since we found out. I know we will be so happy. We have decided not to tell anyone until we can afford our own car and rent a place out. So you lot are the only ones who I can ask things to so please help!! I'm scared

Update:

what's a uti? do you mean an infection?

Update 2:

yeah I am vegetarian so I may be low in Iron, I'm hoping the doctor might give me a diet plan. Thank you all so much for your comments so far.

Update 3:

The reason we don't wanna tell people yet is because we want to show we are serious and that we are determined to do things right. We are not madly stressed about that. I have a driving licence already and I stopped driving my other a few months ago so I won't need to do tests. It will be handy for driving to work or shopping. I am apprehensive about telling my parents at the moment becuse they are quite religious and a little old fashioned. My parents love my boyfriend though and since we found out he wants to marry me but he will have to wait a while for that!!!

I can't ait to tell my friends but just want to make sure everything is ok with the development. Those books scared me, the word miscarraige I think my heart would crumble. I am so glad I asked this question to you all because you have made me feel so much better. I have been freaking out. I will post back on to say what happened at the docs.

Congratulations. That is absolutely wonderful. I think you are the perfect age to have a baby, for a lot of reasons. I believe you are absolutely pregnant and I really want you to make an appointment as soon as you can to start prenatel care. I also think you may have a urinary tract infection which could cause complications so you will want to get that checked right away. Frequent urination is a another sign of pregnancy and it will subside after a little while but will probably return toward the end.

Please drink lots of water, and talk to your doctor about how best to take care of yourself and manage your weight. Don't start "eating for two." Do however eat small meals throughout the day and don't forget breakfast. If you want to educate yourself regarding your developing body and your baby, pick up some books and the knowlege will help you become less scared about the changes that are happening and help your pregnancy be less nerve wracking. Websites are good too!

I wish you all the best, come in often and ask questions as well there are a lot good people here that would love to help when they can.

    Take Care!

First, CONGRATS!!!! It is a wonderful time for you and your boyfriend. I'm very happy for you!

Second, you probably have a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). I have heard that it is common in pregnancy, along with yeast infections.

The lightheadedness is common in pregnancy also. Just be careful.

It is perfectly normal to be nervous about your first appointment, or any appointment for that matter. Every woman goes through it.

I am very glad to hear that you and your boyfriend are happy to be having this baby. My only concern is that you said you don't have a car or your own place. I'm sure that is stressful now that a baby is on the way. I would just suggest that you and your boyfriend sit down and figure out your plan to get those two things and everything else your baby will need. Try not to stress though (I know how hard that can be).

I'm not exactly sure why you don't want to tell any family about the baby until you have a place of your own and a car. I'm sure you have your reasons, but consider telling SOMEONE you can trust. That way, you have someone there to support you and celebrate with you besides your boyfriend. Maybe you’re Mom, any sisters or a close friend. It will just help to have someone besides a group of people online.

You should tell your doctor on Monday about the pain while peeing, that way they can treat it and get it out of the way. Tell your doctor EVERYTHING your feeling, and he/she will ease your mind about the normal stuff and fix any unusual things. I know this is scary, but try to stay relaxed for the baby. Read some books to learn about the pregnancy and what to expect.

Most of all enjoy your pregnancy! Women always say how fast it goes, so enjoy every moment.

Good luck to you and your baby on the way!

the pain could be a urine infection (uti) this you wont know for sure unless you take urine sample to the doctor for a test .... fainting or feeling faint is normal in some pregnancys you should get some folic acid from your chemist take forlic acid everyday .. you may also need iron tablets because your feeling faint your iron levels may be low this will all be checked as a routine when you go for your appointment the doctor may not do it but the midwifes at the hospital/clinic will as you have missed 2 periods you could be anything from 8 weeks to 12 weeks pregnant i hope all goes well for you both and your baby

don't worry about having a car or renting a place as long as you both live in a place that is safe for your baby that is all that matters you will need all the money you can get to provide for your baby prams cots etc don't get stressed about everything being perfect your baby doesn't like it when his/her mummy is stressed relax and enjoy your pregnancy.....and for the new dad to be good luck to you mate us woman turn into green eyed monsters when were pregnant to enjoy the ride it will be worth it when you see your baby

    good luck both

The pain when you pee is probably a urinary tract infection (UTI). I got one when I first got pregnant. You'll probably have to go on antibiotics to clear that up, just make sure you ask the Dr. if the prescription is safe for your unborn baby. As far as the almost fainting, it's possible that it is because of your pregnancy. Some pregnant women faint, most however do not. Just be careful if you feel that way again so you don't fall and get hurt. Good Luck.

Congrats! I know what it is like to be cautiously optimistic so.....just try and keep your body relaxed because that is what is best for little bean right now! I haven't used ovulation predictors BUT I got a BFP my last cycle. I have a normal 28 day cycle and ovulate right around the middle. I got my BFP on cycle day 25. I also tested on CD23 and CD 24 and got negatives. This was the earliest I've ever gotten a positive. Best wishes to you.

OK I think everyone has covered the UTI problem.

For the fainting. In addition to low iron it could also be low blood sugar. Eat small meals (snacks) every 2 hours. This will help keep your blood sugars from peaking and crashing. Make sure you get a lot of protein...You should be having at least 100 grams of protein a day! Don't just take folic acid, take a prenatal vitamin...you need a good supply of vitamin D in order to absorb that folic acid...this you will get from a prenatal.

Well, to solve the one problem, it sounds like you have a UTI. They are aweful...you have to pee all the time, but after you go you still feel like you have to go again! And it burns and hurts like crazy when you do go. So you really need to get that treated. As for the fainting, it's not real common, but it does happen. My mom told me that it's how she knew she was pregnant with all of her kids...she passed out every time in early pregnancy! So try not to worry too much. If you're financially and emotionally stable, you'll be just fine! Good luck to you guys!

The burning when you pee is most likely from a Bladder Infection [UTI]

Thats what may be causing the frequent urination.

Go to the doctors immediatly, because if thats left untreated

    it can ruin your kidney.

Congratulations! The first thing you need to do is relax. You have months to prepare, to get used to the idea. You don't have to do everything tomorrow.

Concerning your health...most likely going to the Dr. on Monday will be fine. Take it easy this weekend, make sure you eat regularly and drink plenty of fluids. If something happens that scares you, make a trip to urgent care. Better to be safe than sorry.

Pain when you urinte is after a bladder infection, or an infectiom somewhere in the urinary tract. This can be serious when pregnant, as it can cause miscarriage. So I think you need to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible so you can get some meds to clear it up.
