Nature's Miracle or Ram are both great products... I swear by them and it won't damage your carpets!! When I worked at a pet shop I got great feed back from them as well... If you do try these products email me back with your feed back... daddysangel31788@yahoo.com...... trust me they work wonders

Some of these carpet cleaners can get kinda pricey and half the time don't work. When I had cats a friend told me about this trick that works wonders! Clean up any debris and spray scrubbing bubbles on it then scrub with a sponge and rinse with a little cool water. Then just vacum. I love scrubbing bubbles! It even got cherry kool-aid out of tan carpet and it didn't touch the color. I recomend it on any stain and it works great in the shower to. Good luck

Simple Solution cat stain & odor remover - you can find it at the pet store. It's designed to remove cat urine, but the enzymes work great to break up & remove vomit too. I discovered that by accident one day when I'd run out of carpet cleaner - surprise, the Simple Solution worked WAY better!
Method: GENTLY pick up the solids with a paper towel, being careful not to rub anything into the carpet. Then gently blot the remaining moisture up with paper towels, and apply the Simple Solution - from there, follow the instructions on the bottle for standard carpet cleanup.
If your cat is vomiting frequently, you may want to consider a diet change: see http://www.catinfo.org/ for more information
Source(s): Years of experience cleaning up cat barf. The catinfo.org site diet info led me to switch my barfy girl's diet over from dry food to a high-quality canned food - after the switch, she went from vomiting 3+ times a day to less than once a year. - CowgirlLv 41 decade ago
Don't know if it will work for cat puke, but I used a solution of Oxy clean on a dog poop mess on the carpet, and it got it out great, better than the pet stain products I have been using.

Scoop up the worst of the solids with a dustpan. Then use diluted carpet shampoo or even plain vinegar & water with a scrub brush; work from the outside in. Blot. Rinse in the same manner with clean water. Blot again. Put either a white towel or SEVERAL layers of white paper towels on the area, then weight down with something heavy (books, etc - you might want to put the bottom one in a plastic bag) and leave a couple days.

well if you want to know of a product there's Resolve pet stain remover. You spray it right over the stained area let it soak for like 3 minutes and then you use a tiny brush with bristles and brush the stain in a circular motion than grab a wet rag and clean it up off the carpet- that worked for me.

My mother-in-law has 8 cats, so she encounters this problem often. If you're right on top of it, a small steam cleaner will do the trick. If it has sat for a while, try some Resolve, and hand scrub, or use the little carpet cleaner.

Oxy-clean or something like that type name is what we use. Can't remember for certain, but its an oxygen cleaner that is a white powder that dissolves in water. Gets out the smell and the stains, we have an old cat who pukes almost daily.

I have found that 409 and 409 carpet stain remover works great and kills any bacteria from the vomit. Spray liberally, let sit, pat up with a paper towel, repeat 1-2 more times, let dry then vacuum.

This is hilarious, but the best tact to take is to let it sit there and dry completely. Then you can peel it off the carpet a few days later, and vacuum up the dust that is left.
If you insist on scrubbing, the purple 409 is good, too, and gets it up w/o much spotting. Orange cleaners do a good job, too.
