Don't you hate when other answerers give you a thumbs down?

I find that many times the last person in a long line of answerers may give everyone ahead of them a thumbs down, just because.

Or, they were not the first one with the correct answer, so their child takes over and they just have to thumb everyone who answered right ahead of them...Or.. if the spelling is not right, or the grammar is wrong... Who knows?

I may get a thumbs down because I used too many .......'s

but that's just the way I write!

Some people just don't like any opinion different from their own. When it is indeed a matter of opinion, well, I may not like it (it's always nicer when people do agree with you :)) but okay... however when I have given facts and the source then I think it sucks to get a thumbs-down.

I saw someone else ask this question and , again, I am seeing the same thing happen. By the time the question is expired, or you chose your best answer, count how many thumbs down there are. So far there are quite a few.

Apparently every answer sucks, so good luck chosing a "best one". !

It's all a matter of opinion. I've given thumbs-down

to answers that I'd contributed to, but I have also

given thumbs-up just as many times to answers I

didn't bother with.

It's often seemed to me that many people do not

really concern themselves with giving a really good

answer to questions; instead, the give very short &

sarcastic--or even asinine answers, just for the

sake of being the 1st one to have given any sort

of answer at all!

No, because the person who does it:

1. Has their reality shaded by their perceptions, which are apparently different from my particular shades

2. Might just be doing it for shits and giggles

3. Is a stranger

And sometimes I give smartass answers, especially if the question seems dumb but good for some fun. They don't deserve thumbs up. Interesting question.

Just because your answer was given a thumbs down doesn't mean it was a bad answer. A lot of times if you don't give someone the sort of answer they're are looking for, you'll get a thumbs down from them, even if it was a good answer.

Sorry I honestly don't think about checking for thumbs down and I know everyone is not going to agree with me. Do people really do that to other answerers, that's kinda funny or childish.

indiscriminately? How do you know they disapprove your answer indiscriminately? Don't tell me you have never seen an answer so objectionable for whatever reason?

maybe they do it so there's less to read, so you have more time to read other questions or thumbs down them
